There seems be a lot of info about heavy turnout. That’s the one thing Kamala has done well, she has gotten the base excited where Biden couldn’t. Marry that to trumps team losing momentum (shocker that after nine freaking years people start to get tired of the same song) and this might not be as close as those herding polls suggested.

I recently moved to North Dakota. Easy process. No voter registration, multiple locations to choose from. Used a touch screen platform. There was an initiative on the ballot to eliminate property tax, haven’t seen that before. If there was only a Republican candidate I wrote in Trey Lance, since he is basically a hero in these parts. My job has me interacting with lots of political appointees, so either way, the first quarter of 2025 will be teaching people how the government works.

I watched the Jamo video. I did not take it as name dropping to get out of trouble. And when a reporter does a **** job, they should be held to account. He pained a story that made it look like everyone was doing something nefarious. Didn’t provide any substance in the law. Didn’t ask any experts. He wrote the article for clicks without any real investigative reporting. In most cases reporters get it right. This guy didn’t he attempt to get it right.

And not only that, like I said yesterday, it was ****ty investigative reporting. Didn’t talk about the law. Didn’t talk about the situation. Didn’t provide any context.

this is a great break down by an attorney in Michigan. As I stated earlier. This is on the reporter. He made everyone look bad when nothing untoward happened. Some reporters are dangerous with their flippant reporting in an effort to break news.

NFL players are allowed to smoke pot. It’s not banned anymore. If they test over a certain threshold they get recommended for counseling. I hate guns more than anyone. I think humans shouldn’t have guns. But we do. As a non gun owner, reading the Michigan laws for the first time, it’s extremely confusing. I would have thought had you registered the gun you’re good. Jamos brother had the correct credentials. And the law seems to point towards his credential covering jamos firearm as well. The story here is that it looks like the police ultimately got it right and then some nosey reporter wrote a story, as an investigate journalistic, without doing any investigating.

What’s the law actually say? I see people on Reddit stating that the concealed permit can cover others firearms as well, as long as the firearm is registered. Initial cops may have just gotten wrong. I also don’t believe reports that the chief is pissed off. This is so low bar, a police chief doesn’t have time to spend emotion on something like this.

So the Vikings lose a key lineman 6 days ago and already replaced him. Meanwhile the lions have now gone two games and going on 3 weeks since they lost hutch and haven’t done anything. OT might even be harder to replace than a DE mid season.

I do think the reporter should be working on something that is meaningful though. Seems like someone just trying to make a name. As for the “crime” seems the police concluded the brothers permit was sufficient, which is why they released him.
