  1. Well it probably means he won't be pitching tomorrow if Skubal has a lead? IDK.
  2. Ehh not really mustering much anger on this one. Hunter Greene is good and the Tigers offense isn't.
  3. Bullpen has given them a puncher's chance today...but the offense can't solve Hunter Greene.
  4. Agreed...I dont think he's worth wasting development time on any longer. We have other lefties at Toledo who are tweeners(Lockhart, Hannifee). They should be the next lefties in line once Wentz has been removed.
  5. With Meadows, he just has to make more contact. Hitting .200 is fine.
  6. If another teams claims him, that's fine. They've given him plenty of runway and he can't get outs. He should go elsewhere to try and find himself.

  8. No bullpen shenanigans from Will Vest tonight.
  9. A healthy Riley Greene is a star.
  10. Kreidler is so terrible.
  11. The game will resume at 8:25 eastern.
  12. Jobe's final line: 5IP, 3H, 1ER, 1BB, 8K
  13. Olson is rolling and we get a rain delay with a bullpen game tomorrow..sweet.
  14. Kelly is the second best hitter in that lineup.
  15. Baddoo was sent out for Meadows.
  16. It was lira
  17. Until Keider Montero’s victory against the Twins on Wednesday, who was the last Venezuelan-born rookie starter to come up through the Tigers' system and win a start for Detroit? A. Jose Alvarez B. Jair Jurrjens C. Wil Ledezma D. Felipe Lira
  18. It does not bother me if they were manipulating service time. If the team was good, it might.
  19. Wentz is another sunk cost. We know what he is...but we probably don't have a left handed alternative.
  20. we probably don't right now. But the attitude that we have to endure Maeda as some sort of penance for spending is not great. I understand not being able to do anything with Baez. But once they have options, having Maeda pitch is a waste of time..similar to Canha, Urshela, and McKinstry in the lineup. It's more about winding out the clock on his deal...not competing or winning. He'll either be DFA now or at the end of spring training next year.
  21. They have a narrow path to winning games. The starter has to be decent and give up four or fewer runs. After the game, Hinch said they have to find his command. A bad start has been an aberration this season for the most part. But they are doing a bullpen game on Saturday and Flaherty is uncertain with his health and trade possibilities. So they are going to need more guys with or without Maeda. Blurb from Cody's article:
  22. Looking at game logs, he’s gotten into the 6th inning two times in his last 10 starts. I’m not sure he can eat innings.
  23. The game has been mercifully called. Tigers haven’t won consecutive games since June 2nd and 3rd.
