I'm not doing the revisionist history on Willi. The last two years in Detroit he had a 73 and 86 OPS+. He also wasn't good defensively at any position.
I'll credit him and the Twins for improving his contact rate and power.
Wentz hasn't pitched since last Thursday...so he is essentially the mopup guy if Maeda implodes. It's interesting that every other start since Maeda has been pretty good(excluding the bullpen game).
Brutal luck on Meadows…looks like a hamstring. Hinch said it didn’t sound good based on the initial diagnosis. Just as he was about to show some growth, it gets stunted.
Agreed...I dont think he's worth wasting development time on any longer. We have other lefties at Toledo who are tweeners(Lockhart, Hannifee). They should be the next lefties in line once Wentz has been removed.
