  1. Looks like Meadows will be back in the Minnesota series...for whatever it's worth.
  2. Let's go 5 innings without a baserunner instead of six.
  3. Feckless is a good word to describe this product.
  4. The offense had one baserunner after they tied it with the two walks….so it doesn’t matter. They weren’t going to score again.
  5. Shelby Miller in leverage….either gives up the lead or the tie.
  6. We're getting close to DFA Maeda time.
  7. That's the crux of the re-rebuild. How do you fill that gap? I'm not even accounting for the fact that every single hitter we have brought up has been historically bad. I would hope a few of them pop.
  8. That's what the money is for. Because of development failures, we are in year 2 of a young hitter evaluation program. If this evaluation phase doesn't work, what is the pivot? Do we double down and add more young guys next year? trades? I don't see free agency as a viable option because most players who get there are over the hill.
  9. I don't mind letting young players fail; But right now it creates a dead mlb product. And I know Harris doesn't necessarily care about results because young players are getting reps. But we are essentially running a development camp in the majors, and nobody is showing improvement. I want to know how many years we have to endure a tryout camp. If it's perpetual, that's fine but we also need to see that he's able to figure out who can play and who can't. The default can't be to give a young guy a shot because free agency or trades or big contracts have risks.
  10. From Chris Brown on twitter: Games scoring 1 or 0 runs in 2024: White Sox - 25 Marlins - 23 Tigers - 23 Rockies - 19 5 Tied at 17 . . . Orioles - 8 Guardians - 7 Phillies - 5
  11. Daniel had a 5.33 ERA in 14 starts with Triple-A Salt Lake before Thursday's game against the Tigers. "The thing he did is just attack the strike zone," Hinch said. "He beat us inside the strike zone with a lot of strikes, a lot of count leverage and a lot of swings that weren't on time. He continued to be relentless with strikes because it was working for him. He was getting outs." "He beat us in the strike zone," Hinch said. "Plain and simple." I did not see the video but he seems like he’s about to lose his marbles lol.
  12. 2 hours and five minutes..no need to make fans suffer any longer.
  13. The only thing that matters is their hitting instruction in the majors and the minors. Aside from Greene, we see the same patterns with every young hitter. Wins and losses don’t matter…we need to know if they can fix any of the young hitters. Whatever they are doing now isn’t working.
  14. Yesterday’s lineup was the same…0-20 aside from Vierling…the definition of insanity.
  15. Greene and Vierling have a combined 3 hits in the 6 at bats. The rest of the lineup is 0-16.
  16. Not much...they don't have answers in the majors or the minors. The product is stuck in the mud.
  17. JHM...the guy who is only here because of his hit tool, has a lower OPS than Zach McKinstry.
  18. The Angels pitcher is making his 2024 debut...Tigers offense is good tonic \Leyland.
  19. Matthew Boyd signed with the Guardians.
  20. They swept them last year in LA...which was surprising.
  21. 3 games starting after 9:30 pm eastern against a bad opponent....This will be tough for me to watch or follow.
  22. This is one of those games where it's good/great team vs below average/bad team. Not much you can do.
