If you are relying completely on high draft picks to save your rebuild, you're dead. Avila is gone because of it. We need to to see if Harris has any non-free agency and development methods(real baseball trades) to vastly improve the talent level on this team.

Tork's failure is on Tork, the 2020 player dev disaster, and the tigers change of regimes.

You have to plan on him not being a 5 year core player. He is not consistent or valuable enough to rely upon.

It's not easy and for the most part free agency has stunk. I think we are close to rendering a verdict on Tork's long term upside. That should allow them to move on and improve the position.

You are trying to save the bullpen and you are also trying to stress test Manning. He's getting close to the end of the evaluation stage of his career. If he's just a back end starter, that's fine. We need to see if he can do that consistently and stay healthy for a few months.

It looks like Maeda is getting activated on Friday if there are no setbacks. So Manning will go back down and wait his next chance.

Good to see them fight back..Bullpens have guys who are either great or in a slump. It's hard to nail down which combo will work on each day..oh well.
