I don’t think they are going to sacrifice ‘development’ for short term roster improvement. They would only go down if Harris and Hinch think that major league at bats are hurting their future.

Nobody is giving up on Tork. You probably have to lower his ceiling significantly now. If he can be a jag first baseman who hits 25-30 homers that would be good.
Aside from 3-4 games out of 21, every outcome has gone to the late innings where either team could win. If they could ever get separation on offense, we would be in business.
They are 10-9 to start...I'm not even worried about the 'competition' in the division. They won't go anywhere until the young hitters figure it out. There are no sweeping changes to make.
It's a flawed team with limited offense(by design). They need to win on the margins with pitching and defense until some of the offense shows itself. The margins stuff was bad today.
