    One thing that the Tigers ML report guys mentioned is Tork's poor contact rate in the minors. Colt Keith seems to make contact so that might be a plus in his favor. Jace Jung seems to be have the same issues with making consistent contact....this should be tracked.

    We need the Twins and Cleveland Gardenhires to take off here. The 'division race' is screwing with people's brains. The Tigers are not prioritizing winning individual games with the roster choices they are making. We should track young players and basically ignore the rest. They aren't punishing any of the hitters for poor performance.

    He can't be optioned and the catchers at Toledo are not viable. We are stuck.

    On Haase, they don't have a viable backup C in Toledo. He's barely a catcher but he's safe.

    Malloy is basically Christin Stewart in the field. They already have at least 3 DHs on the 25 man roster.

    The Tigers have left Haase and Schoop last through July 4th. Winning today's game is not a priority. Skubal and Olson pitched well; The manfred runner scored in the 10th.

    Hinch loves the platoon pinch hitting roster. If your right handed hitters can't get the starter out of the game, it's useless.

    This is not meant to pile on Matthew Boyd. It's more about what Scott H was spinning last December when gave him $10 million.

    Tork can get a day off. But he has to play just about everyday. He's either capable of adjusting his approach or he's not. We have to find out. It's not hard to replace a 1B/DH with these numbers.

    Whenever we worry about needing spots in the lineup or the rotation, spots will open up due to performance and injury.
