  1. Cleveland plays low event/low scoring games. We won two of them in this series.
  2. Greene is going to strike out a lot if he's good or bad; He needs to turn those ground balls into line drives and fly balls.
  3. Greene's 3 true outcomes: grounder to pull side line drive or homer to opposite field strikeout
  4. gritty comeback. i would definitely not let Boyd start the 6th.
  5. This is what Boyd is I guess. I don't know if you give him another inning or not.
  6. I'm still wondering what Harris thought he was getting with giving Boyd $10 million. Same guy.
  7. Greene is going to strikeout a lot if he is good or bad. He has to stop grounding out to the pull side and turn those outcomes into fly balls and line drives. From the Freep:
  8. Sorry if I missed it. Was there a reason they lifted Ty Madden after an inning Saturday night in Erie?
  9. Robbie Grossman has a .446 OPS in 38 at-bats. I think he hit a homer on opening day...but he is still cooked.
  10. Manning will be out for at least 6 weeks.
  11. Boyd, ERod, and Turnbull for the hated Guardians.
  12. Feel like this is a rehab start for lorenzen. They didn’t have any options in Toledo so this is it.
  13. Wentz pitched well Bullpen blew it...but Englert didn't implode further. Cisnero got some help from his defense. They gave their offense a puncher's shot in the 11th and Maton knocked one out. I'll take it.
  14. Yeah Harris doesn't care about this season....that's abundantly clear.
  15. Hinch might be at fault on Wednesday. But tonight is about the roster he was given by Harris. There is a difference.
  16. And the reason why Cubs fans loved Javy? He was the 6th best hitter in OPS+ in 2016. His highs were remembered and the lows were laughed off because they had Bryant, Rizzo, Fowler, and Zobrist.
  17. I'll repeat my Baez take...he can't be the focal point of your team. He was perfect on the Cubs where he could operate behind a lot of other guys. The Tigers miscalculated that they were close to 'contention' and signed him as an alpha star. But he can still be a decent player with all of the flightiness and free swinging. This is why you sign the top free agent, not the 4th best. For some reason, Ilitch and Avila wanted to sign a guy before the lockout. This is the result.
  18. Is our best course to getting rid of him to bully him into quitting baseball? That sounds realistic.
  19. Maton and Vierling should be complementary/platoon players on a good team...like they were with the Phillies. The tigers need good players of course.
  20. No he has to hit to extricate himself from Detroit. His biggest problem is not his non-chalant attitude. It's that he doesn't slug.
  21. Wentz, Lorenzen(?), and Boyd over the weekend.
