The K rate is alarming.

Has Riley Greene driven a ball to the pull side at all? Seems like he just hits the ball into the ground to the right side.

There are a lot of morons who have won world series as managers. They just had great teams. Talent and depth on the roster is 90% of the reason teams win and lose.

The Cabrera thing is about business. It's about getting some return on the terrible contract with ticket sales, etc. I don't see that he is getting benched unless he wants to go home. And he gets the money either way.

Bad tigers teams could hide when the Wings and Pistons were deep into the playoffs. Now both franchises are still mired in rebuilds; The Tigers ineptitude can't be ignored.

The tv broadcast crew is about saving money...that can't be denied. With the paradigm shifting for Bally's and the bankruptcy, I don't think that will change soon.

I'm talking about now and probably next year with what we have. The 100 people on this message board care about the team. But nobody else does. And if they turn around, it doesn't matter right? But they utter lack of aggression to even make the team better is infuriating. That is after they subjected us to the Avila rebuild.

The willingness to light a season on fire to either save money or 'evaluate your roster' is what we have. The damage that does to fan interest and belief in your product is bad news for ths franchise. So yes, signing a few presentable mlb players probably doesn't mean much in the long term. But if you are 5-8 and have a passable bullpen, people are more willing to buy the company line that a turnaround is near. It's cosmetic...but if that's alternative to anger and apathy towards this organization, I'll take it. Ilitch let this organization wither into where it is now. And he was perfectly willing to along with his new gm and allow this season to be another throwaway. And we really don't know how much losing does to damage player development.

Petulant is the word I would use to describe his attitude.

I won't argue about Lange. Hinch thinks he's playing for June 1st. The team needed a win.

They have either unproven or 4A talent throughout the roster. Harris traded his bullpen for future assets and then decided not to spend on short term bullpen contracts. Hinch has probably not done a good job. But this roster is substandard.

Harris has failed his first team building test with this bullpen. It's just awful.

Harris chose this bullpen approach with his lack of spending. This is all on him.

Manning placed on IL for Nevin's callup.

They need some good luck with these pitching rehab guys. At the very least, you want cheap and controllable mid rotation starters.

With senstivitity to Meadows condition, he can't be considered part of the Tigers immediate future. You have to work under the assumption that he won't be available the rest of the year and beyond. And even if does come back, will his power ever return to Tampa form? Hard to see it now.

Dead last in the AL in slugging and OPS. 6 homers total; only Cleveland is worst but they have a higher slugging due to doubles and the most walks in the AL.

I have to wonder if all this losing affects player development.

Hinch looks like he is going to cry

They could have spent a little money on the bullpen to make this team more presentable. But they didn't. The offense is about as bad as last year when it comes to slugging...once again they have no power. Thank you Chris.
