    Tarik Skubal will not pitch again this season for the Tigers and there is some concern with the pain in his elbow injury, per AJ Hinch. He’s in LA right now and will see a specialist next week.

    Eduardo Rodriguez at Toledo: 5IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 6K. Tork with 1 hit, 1 walk, and 1K in 3 ABs. Meadows hitless in 3 ABs, replaced after that.

    Al is not surviving. The question is if they go outside the org to find a replacement.

    At this point, the results don’t matter. Manning had the best outing of his career. The offense sucks and Soto imploded in a non save situation. But they have to use him because the bullpen is overtaxed. Good bullpens are a waste on a horrific team. Avila thinks he can get more value for them at a later point in time.

    Offense scores 3 runs early and does nothing afterwards. An overworked bullpen eventually will collapse.

    Mccosky: Miguel Cabrera just told me, directly, that he has no intention of retiring after this year. His plan, he said, is to finish out his contract and retire after 2023.
