This team has no chance against Rodon.

Giants don't have to worry about getting beat inside. Longoria dumps a changeup into center.
-
can't get the ball inside against righties...away, away, away.

The ability to assess the talent on your own roster is part of the general manager's job. If you waste playing time on guys you traded for, that's a problem.

I'd put him on the same level as Matt Manning...meaning I don't expect to see him this season unless there is some kind of miraculous recovery.
-
Rony Garcia is the only starter who has pitched into the sixth inning since last Saturday. He has done it twice. That’s going to take a toll on the bullpen.
-
Jeimer's walk rate has dropped from 10% to 5%, his wRC+ has also dropped by half. He is playing himself off the roster and he will be 29 by November.
-
None of these guys are long term solutions to any problems.
-
Harold Castro isn't much better of course even with that single. He has a .553 OPS in June. 3 XBH in 61 at-bats.
-
Right around the time everyone wanted Victor Reyes to play, he became Victor Reyes. 12/43, 0BB, 10 K, .279 OBP, 279 slug. No walks no XBH since returning from the IL lol.
-
Rony Garcia is an adequate pitcher. I’d kill for a hitter like him lol.
-
It would be helpful for Jeimer's immediate mlb earning power if he started doing something.
-
Maybe Will Rhymes is his Steve Yzerman hahaha.

Watching Miggy last night, I'm not sure he can play through another year of this. He just might ask them to pay him off and retire.

Daz Cameron playing tonight.

I don't feel the same way about Hinch like I did a year ago. He has a lot of control here...both with the roster and the direction of the organization. But it's not his fault that we drafted Rey Rivera and Nick Quintana. That's on Al and 7 dwarfs. But he is now responsible for the major league product and it stinks out loud. He can opt-out if he wants and he can leave...I don't care any longer about protecting him from Avila. He is in it now. Avila has already ceded a lot of power to the analytic wonder twins. The player development staff has been overhauled. If Hinch is in this for the long haul and has some solutions to our fundamental organizational problems, start fixing it. Avila has been emasculated. He is not an obstacle to fixing this team.

I was at the game tonight. The feeling was more depression than anger. Once they couldn’t tack on any runs early, you knew the Red Sox would grind Skubal down. Big Joe is finally a good pitcher just in time for a trade lol. They need so much help in the lineup and have so little to trade. Reyes and castro are once again leveling off. I don’t know man I just want a competent management team that can properly value players both on their team and throughout the league. They thought this roster would be competitive and it’s men vs boys against good teams. And the Red Sox are just ok. We are overmatched.
-
They didnt pay either Baez or E-Rod at the top of the market by design. I assume they wanted their young pitchers and positional players to be the leaders of a new contender.

That's the way it works. It's why the national guys get all the scoops....agents use them because they are so visible.

This is what the kids call an ethering. Rival execs laugh at us. Maybe the owner has an athletic sub.
