Reyes isn’t a center fielder and meadows is a horrendous defender. Years into the rebuild victor reyes and Harold castro are pillars of our offense.

No question about it. Felt like someone jumped the gun on E-Rod today. Glad they are giving him another rehab start.

If you want another 2019 or worse, that will work. It's pretty clear they don't have the young talent in the system to go all young. They still need vets to prop up the roster and make it moderately competitive. It's terrible business to just throw out all young guys. But they need to figure out who will be here next year and act accordingly.

Hold on...Eric Haase hit 22 homers last year. His MLB track record before and after 2021 says it's not repeatable. Haase has done nothing offensively this year. He's not a good defender in either LF or at catcher. Are you arguing we should play him more? That's galaxy brain stuff. They have given Haase plenty of opportunities this season, he has 5 XBH in 85+ at-bats.

You could carry Haase if Barnhart was hitting I guess. But his OPS is bad he's supposedly here for framing and defense.

the home runs are the big fluke. Plus he will be 33 by the end of the season. He won't be part of a contending Tigers team based on our trajectory. I'm looking for guys who will be here in a few years.

I understand letting Tork work things out in the majors. I don't get it with Haase...especially when he has no defensive value. Like Grossman, last year was a fluke. You have to know when to try someone else.
