  1. Paredes doing well is about the Tigers being cursed...but Avila's reign of terror needs to end for this to turn around. The lack of slugging on this team is a systemic failure that they will have to look at after the season. You just can't attribute it to bad luck.
  2. Baez whiffed on a curveball...not a slider. He's growing.
  3. We are still waiting on Meadows and Grossman to homer unfortunately.
  4. Isaac paredes has five homers.
  5. Tigers hits vs Jays homers tonight?
  6. ERod Sr will take his spot next time. They just can't have anymore injuries grim lol.
  7. To contrast the two teams, look at the Jays guys slug. The Tigers didn't hit a homer in either New York or Pittsburgh.
  8. Well we are 5 years into this right. We don’t have a path to contention anytime soon. We don’t really have a firm direction from ownership or management. All we can do is let time pass and hope things work out.
  9. I’m not sure what manning is at this point. I’m not sure his repertoire can get people out consistently.
  10. You got Skubal out of that draft…and drafts are an in exact science. But early in the rebuild, the tigers sunk all of their talent acquisition into losing and getting high draft picks and nothing else . If one of those guys doesn’t work out, you need to buy your way out or get talent with trades. Or you need to be good at developing undervalued talent. The contention window is a bit farther off imo.
  11. Daz Cameron was put on the IL with an undisclosed injury.
  12. Bondo needs a changeup!
  13. https://theathletic.com/3355843/2022/06/09/riley-greene-tigers-injuries-rehab/
  14. 4 pitches(two sliders)...going for the golden sombrero.
  15. Haase has to go.
  16. 7 pitches(4 sliders). Evolve or die.
  17. Haase's hard hit % is down 13% from last year. His HR/FB% was way fluky at 22%...this year at 8%.
  18. Baez sees 4 sliders on 5 pitches...foul tip on pitch 4...swinging strike on pitch 5.
  19. Probably trying to split up Cabrera and Baez with a lefty in between.
  20. Willi's OPS and average are higher than the following players who are purportedly mlb caliber: Candelario Baez Schoop Grossman Barnhart Haase That's the only reason he is playing. It also doesn't mean he's good. But we are two months in and everyone else still hasn't heated up or gotten near career norms.
