  1. I don't know. Did someone say they assume the next OC is gonna suck?
  2. One of my bigger concerns for next season: the Lions lose Johnson, but keep Glenn. What will Goff look like without an offensive coordinator who knows how to cover his flaws? Next year's schedule will be tougher as well. I'm also thinking the Bears won't be down for long. They suck today but are about to get a massive haul of draft talent
  3. Yeah they might be one and done, but I have a sneaky feeling they just might win a playoff game this year, depending on who they get matched with. That's my ceiling for this year though, and to me that'd be a damn good season. Holmes needs to heavily address the D in next year's draft. There should also be a few decent defensive FAs available. Like the Pistons of the late 80s... just keep it going, just keep getting better each year
  4. Hey c'mon. It's not that bad. Forest for the trees, man. Sheila, Holmes, and Campbell have completely turned this franchise around. Longtime fans have been begging for this for decades. This is still a rebuild - they're a few players away. Some things to fix, but they'll get there. Future is bright. I just can't get mad at 9-3. I mean, holy crap
  5. You can just see it coming, can't you
  6. This is the drive of the game for the offense. Can't give the ball back. Just enough time to run the clock down and at least get 3 to seal it. It's Montgomery time
  7. No problem with the call. Don't like the rule
  8. That's just stupid luck. Can't blame the D on that
  9. Really needed a TD there. Saints can now take the lead with 7
  10. Good lord. What is it with this team and the 3rd quarter? It's like their kryptonite
  11. Jacobs could've had that underthrown ball had he turned around
  12. Saints brought a can of pepper spray to a bazooka fight
  13. I think a lot of fans forget that this is only 2 1/2 seasons into a complete teardown and rebuild. I forget myself sometimes. I never thought this year was "the year" to begin with, but despite their record many of us probably need to dial back our expectations a little. The turnaround has been quite remarkable, honestly. They're actually ahead of schedule, but still a few players away
  14. 4 stages of competence: 1. Unconscious incompetence: unaware of how incompetent you are (never driven a car, no idea what it’s like) 2. Conscious incompetence: aware of how incompetent you are (driving for the first time, no idea what you're doing, clumsy motor skills, nervously thinking about everything) 3. Conscious competence: aware of how competent you are (getting easier, relaxing more, not thinking as much, learning from mistakes, can explain what you're doing) 4. Unconscious competence: unaware of how competent you are (don’t have to think, actions are instinctive, braking/lane changing/turn signals happen automatically as you carry on conversation with passenger) 5th stage that doesn’t get talked about as much: Conscious unconscious competence. You’re aware of how unaware you are of your competence. This is the level that’s typically required to teach. Anyone who’s sat through engineering chalk talks with a presenter talking over everyone’s heads, using terminology no one understands, and so on… this is someone who can’t get out of their own head and speak for the people who are listening. It’s often unintentional - the content, vocabulary, etc., is second nature to them. They routinely assume others know what they’re talking about, they’ve forgotten what it was like when they themselves first learned. People who have a strong awareness of their own unconscious competence can do things like pass highly technical language through a filter so it comes out in layman’s terms everyone can understand, which is an art form and not as easy as it sounds. I’ll waive my standard consulting fee for you just this once Red
  15. Here's another film breakdown https://lionswire.usatoday.com/lists/lions-vs-packers-film-rview-detroit-takeaways-goff-bad-defense-offensive-line-what-i-learned/
  16. Or maybe it won't. Not sure I believe anything about this team anymore
  17. He'd certainly be a massive upgrade over Charles Harris. And he can cover better than Jacobs. The word on him is he can't tackle worth a sh** though
  18. A circus ending to a clown show. Fitting
  19. So this is our competition for the division title
