  1. It is getting annoying listening to the endless excuses being made for these high picks. I'm still being patient, but players drafted in the 1st round are supposed to be starters. They're supposed to make your team better. Gibbs' impact has been marginal, Jaymo has been zero, Campbell seems more like a 2nd round pick than a 1st
  2. If the Bucs lose this game, then I think the Lions will win. And if the Lions do win, I'm predicting a Bucs loss. That's how I see it
  3. If I were making bold predictions, I'd say this year's splash move would be the Bears trading Justin Fields
  4. McCaffrey. I suppose Hock too
  5. I can see the appeal of a 'win now' spending spree, and it's hard to argue. For me, I never thought this was The Year to begin with. I wouldn't want to mortgage the future on a team that I still think has a ways to go. I'd love for Holmes to just stay the course, keep loading young talent pieces through the draft, keep building it up, and design this thing to dominate long term. We still need a superstud interior DT, a 2nd game wrecking DE, a shutdown corner... and that would only bring us even with the Eagles. And the Eagles are not the 49ers - that team is stacked
  6. I suppose this would all depend on whether you think this year is a 'win now' window, or if the Lions should just continue focusing on building for long term by holding onto their draft picks and using their cap money to retain their star players - rather than spending $$$
  7. The Lions would have a parade down Michigan Ave if they landed that guy. He'll likely cost more than just a 1st though (I'm pretty sure Denver won't give him up). Holmes seems to be a build thru the draft guy, and he's pretty good at it. I'd hate to see the Lions give up draft capital. Then again, it's not like Brad Holmes doesn't make big trades 😄 I wonder if Suh would come back on a 1 year deal
  8. I'm with you on that. Tampa is one of my least favorite teams - which has everything to do with them being a former division rival
  9. True, Jacobs and Harris have played out of their minds... against Desmond Ridder, Jordan Love, and Bryce Young. I don't know if their secondary situation is sustainable. They could use a depth piece at corner
  10. Adoree' Jackson
  11. Buyers, sellers, both, neither?
  12. Definitely makes them fun to watch. I want to see them win something for a change though. This team never WINS ANYTHING. Not since forever. Give us a couple of playoff wins. Give us one playoff win. A division title. Something. Anything.
  13. I go back farther and older than that. You'll never catch me Buddha
  14. Well, to be fair... they're only 4 games in. It's really early - they still have 13 more to play. It's a good start but again, the Lions haven't really done anything except not suck so far. We'll see where things are at the end of November. And I think I'll hold off calling them a "really good football team" until they actually WIN something first
  15. Looking good Justin Fields. That's right Chicago - keep believing in this guy. Retain him for next year, do NOT draft a QB. Win some games, fall in the draft
  16. Yes. We want the Bears to win tonight
  17. Damn. Witherspoon is a stud. Wish we could've drafted that guy. Seattle beat us to it
  18. That might just be JaMo's speed. Goff threw it to a spot, and JaMo likely got there faster than Goff thought he would. Not the first time we've seen him outrun Goff's arm. He had a drop at one point (can't remember when) where the ball was thrown behind him... again, I think he just got to a spot quicker than other Lions receivers would've. The dude is fast, like insane Randy Moss fast. He and Goff need to get their timing down (hopefully they're putting in the work)
  19. Wow Russ Francis was killed (plane crash). I remember that guy
  20. Yeah only 7 freakin days early before the actual game starts. Shame on you
  21. I tend to agree. I haven't been all that impressed with him either. I don't understand why the national media fawns over him so much for someone who's done absolutely nothing so far ("wait until they get Jameson Williams back!", "Jameson Williams will has been reinstated!", etceee, etceee)
  22. Or..... perhaps you're just reading too much into things? 😃
  23. Nice job again on the GD thread Cardinal. Kudos
  24. It's a long way to the draft... but do you think Fields is done in Chicago?
