  1. If the Lions can trade out of the first round and get a 2nd and 3rd, they should do it. Now they need some high risk, high reward players and the only way you can do that is with a crap shoot.
  2. Lions can literally take BPA now with no worries. Very well done.
  3. How would you feel if they drafted a kicker in the 6th or 7th?
  4. There were a bunch of games where our secondary got torched and teams would march down the field to the red zone. Luckily our Linebackers played OUT OF THEIR MINDS last year and saved the day. If Anzelone didn't have a career year last year, we lose a bunch of those games. Like I said, I'll be happy if we repeat with 12 wins. Thank the heavens we finally have a competent GM.... He's assembling another good team fixing the glaring holes. I still want them to trade back in the draft. They should keep add a Corner, DE, WR, and then a ton of depth on O-line and D-line. I really hope we get Corner, DE and WR in the first 3 rounds..... Take projects with High risk high reward the rest of the draft for the O-line and D-line. If you hit great, if not, next year you load up on those and LB and you're set. But thats just my opinion but I don't know jack @*#$()*%@. So we'll see. (I also wouldn't mind seeing them draft a kicker. I know Moody Crapped the bed this past year for SF [even though I wanted him] but drafting someone like him, I wouldn't mind. I just don't know if there's a kicker worth drafting this year in the 5th or 6th round... We need someone that can nail 50+ yards with relative consistency. This shouldn't be a pipe dream....)
  5. If the lions traded out of the 1st round with their pick, what could they get? Just curious. Seems like a deep draft. Could they get a 2nd and 3rd rounder back for their 1st? Or is that too much of a pipe dream?
  6. I really don't want to be a neigh sayer here..... But the lions won probably 4 or 5 games where they should of lost last year.... If they repeat the same record, THAT would be something....... I'd be amazed if they win 12 again. I hope it happens but am not holding my breath.
  7. That's the only thing that bothered me about Jim Harbaugh. He RAAAAAAARELY ever got 5* recruits. Every year we face OSU, I've always cringed knowing their players were probably better. However, I always felt Jim was a better coach than Ryan Day. I really hope Moore can get some highly rated 5* players and some high 4* players and really make a dynasty. It looks like this is the best recruiting staff we may have ever had. If that's the case, we could see something special for the next few years........ Here's hoping...
  8. NGL, thats probably one of the funniest posts I've seen on this board in 20 years........
  9. Glad they got rid of Jacobs. Surprised they didn't tender him though w/ a 6th round or something. PEACE brotha.
  10. Something tells me they are going a lot of D this draft.......
  11. I hope you're right. The reason I'm not an AG fan is there were a lot of times he left our CB's in isolation too much with no help. I never understood that. Also there were a bunch of games this year where the Lions were up by a touchdown or FG or even less and the opposing team was allowed to do whatever because he would do max prevent. So he'd rush 4 and the opposing QB had all day to pick us apart and move up the field. It was very frustrating. I'm just personally not a big fan. I hope he gets a true CB1 and I change my mind. I really do. He seems like a good dude, I just don't know if his style is Detroit Style...... But again, I don't know a lot.... so I'm basically talkin out of my behind....
  12. Feel free to post your reviews. Here's mine (please note I am probably the least experienced person to talk about this)....... 1. Can't blame Campbell for this last loss. Too many dropped passes, flukes on plays, giving up a QB running for 75 yards up the middle when I'm faster than him.... Can't blame Campbell. My wife came in all excited as halftime was starting saying "They are up 17 points?!?!?! WOW!". I replied, "It ain't over yet, unfortunately....." 2. Maybe blame Aaron Glenn? - I know a lot of people like him and he's well-respected around the league. Honestly, if he goes though, I wouldn't mind. I'm hoping a team snags him as their new Head Coach. 3. The Lions need to invest in Cornerbacks. - Jerry Jacobs and Cam Sutton Blow.... Hard. I'm talking about the type of blowing you'd find on the corner of Woodward in a skirt. They both need to be cut. Each game has been more and more depressing to watch these two. 4. Lions Draft - CB, CB, DL, OL, WR would be my preference. They need two high Defensive backs and another rusher. Their DB's are the 3rd worst in the league and it cost em. Overall thoughts - Love Campbell's aggressiveness going on 4th down. He's a players coach and I love that he goes for it more than anyone else. - I'm still not sold on Goff being the QB of the future. I would love a more mobile guy and a QB that can actually throw a spiral. All of his throws are wobbly as all get out. - Going into the draft the Lions HAVE to focus on their secondary. They need to cut Jacobs and Sutton. They also need to replenish their Dline and O-line. - The Lions won a lot of games this year they shouldn't have. I am VERY surprised they made it this far. It was fun and exciting. Now having said that, even if I think they are a lot worse than most, blowing a 17-point lead is inexcusable. I get that there were some fluke plays but still, that's nuts. Some players need some soul-searching..... - The Lions overachieved this year but I think next year they have a chance to end up right where they ended this year. They could be a Super Bowl team with a new secondary and some depth. They should have cap space to spend to shore up some things. Here's hoping for one more tremendous draft to get them where they need to be......
  13. Should the NHL just shorten the draft to two rounds? Seriously.......
  14. In the last 23 years, 12 Players drafted after the 4th round have made it to the NHL. Five 4th rounders made it (including one guy who played 3 games in the NHL). Are we bad at drafting or is there seriously that big of a talent drop off? If I was Yzerman, I'd be trading every 4th-7th round pick every year to get into the third the following year..... Your chances of hitting are beyond drastically different.....
  15. I hope we sell EVERYTHING. We are still 2 or 3 years away from being relevant.......
  16. Is there a way to see a list of ALL the prospects the Red Wings have? They literally have to have over 75 from the past 6 or 7 drafts.......
  17. Thats one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.... lol.
  18. You can be sick of it all you want. Wings need 1 more year. Lions are your best bet this year. Pistons are 1 or 2 years away.... Tigers are about 2 or 3 years away from relevance........ They are the prime example of when you quit a rebuild too early. The other three Detroit teams should take notes. Avila quit too early and now they are stuck in no mans land. If the Wings sellout now, it will screw em over. If they wait one more year, they will be a lot better positioned to be competitive for the next decade.........
  19. Just think though..... if they "hit" and become MLB players, it opens up trades. I say take the highest ceiling possible. Remember, we got guys from the Rays front office and Dodgers front office doing our draft now. This feels like Rays and Dodger picks already and I'm all for it. Don't get me wrong. I wish we got Langford over Clark when he was drafted. But the more I think about it, Clark could be the next Byron Buxton with 20 HR's annually instead of 30. I'll take that all day long.
  20. Dang I wanted White. I want McGonigle or Cole Schoenwetter.
  21. High Upside position player. I hate to say this, but I'd rather see a pitcher.......
