  1. If we have the money in cap space avail, whats the downside? (BTW, I agree that he should earn that much, I'm just sayin........)
  2. The Lions need to NOT give up on Okudah so early..... Give him another year if there's cap space. I think he'll be above average next year.... still too early to give up on him.
  3. I'd do 6 and 48 though for Anderson.....
  4. I saw that too. I'd love for that draft to happen for us though. Usually rounds 4-7 are almost always complete crapshoots anyways. If we walked away with Anderson, Bijan, Hooker and Denton.... That'd be a solid draft. Heck just Anderson and Bijan would be a great draft in and of itself.
  5. Saw this. I like picks 1, 3, 5,6. Well done sir.
  6. Just curious. Are there any good QB's coming out next year? A lot of people are going for these 4 guys. But whose next year? (I'm assuming JJ McCarthy is 2 years away). Would be interesting to see though. Maybe next years the year we trade for a QB......
  7. Yes...... I'm sorry. If he's the best prospect in the draft, he should be able to complete the drills from his pro-day in his sleep. I am very worried about drafting this dude if it happens.
  8. Tell us how you really feel....... 😅😂🤣
  9. Too much Risk I think with Carter. I'll pass.
  10. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-mock-quarterback-draft-anthony-richardson-will-levis - PFF now has us taking a QB from Stanford. Tanner McKee. I dunno anything about him.... but at least that answers that.......
  11. Besides Hooker (I think he's projected round 2 or 3), is there any QB prospect that could be a starter "down the road" kinda like Richardson that could be a serviceable backup QB for us for the next 5-7 years that we could get in rounds 4-7? If he turns into a starter great, but if he's just a competent backup, then that works great anyways on a rookie contract? Anyone like that available to any of ya'lls knowledge?
  12. I now want the Lions to trade down. Everything I'm reading about Carter tells me to pass. He may be a great player, but if he gets arrested in a year, what the heck do we do then? So I'll pass on him. Let's trade back and just draft what we can. Get as many assets as possible at this point. I would love to get another pick in the teens and do something like a CB and Bijan in the teens and then have maybe another 2nd or 3rd rounder to play with for a LB. I'd also be happy if they got one of the two Linebackers that are supposed to be good (jack Campbell is the only one I know but theres another rated higher than him....). At this point, lets just get overall depth. Tyree Wilson is who I want now at 6 if we don't trade out. Maybe I'm crazy. But Pass on Jalen imo.
  13. I like Hooker in the 2nd. Good value and I think he'd be workable by our coaches when he gets healthy.
  14. What would this look like (sorry I don't know value's of NFL draft picks)? Something like pick 18-30 + a 1st next year or is that too high?
  15. Sorry if this has been answered. I looked back a few pages but didn't see anything. With the last two signings of CB's, do you think the Lions should trade down from 6? With this being a deep draft, if a QB falls to them, I'm sure there phone will ring. If they can get a pick in the teens and a 2nd rounder wouldn't that be worth it? At this point they can draft the BPA and since this is a deep draft, I think having more capital would be good. Do you guys think they should trade back from 6 now with the signings?
  16. Figured this deserved its own thread. Offer sheet is out that requires 2 first-rounders for him. Article I read said 5/$250 contract would take. If we are talking about taking a QB at 6, shouldn't we consider this? We'd have to give up pick 18 and our 1st next year for him, but it looks like we'd still be in good shape. Thoughts on this? Maybe flip Goff somewhere for something (even if we ate his salary)? Heck he was a pro-bowler this year....... https://www.motownlions.com/2023/03/08/detroit-lions-have-to-consider-an-offer-sheet-for-lamar-jackson/
  17. We're still going to suck and be dead last in the division. But at least I trust in Scott Harris.
  18. So...... sounds like this was a good deal ehhh?
  19. Little more fuel for the fire.... https://detroithockeynow.com/2023/02/01/report-bruins-will-pursue-dylan-larkin-trade-if-hes-on-the-market/ https://octopusthrower.com/2023/02/06/red-wings-return-dylan-larkin-boston-bruins/ Excuse my ignorance when it comes to Hockey. Hypothetically (extremely doubtful this would happen), but has it ever happened that a GM traded a stud player like this, got the trade capital, then literally re-signed the player in the offseason when they were a Free Agent? Seems like Yzerman could butter him up and do something like this as it benefits both parties involved. Larkin can go to a winner, then when he comes back his team will be A LOT better quicker if this is where he really wants to be. I am a baseball nut and cannot think of an example where this scenario played out but I don't know about hockey at all so I was just wondering if anyone ever heard of a thing.... P.S. - For what I've seen, it looks like Larkin wants to be paid as a 1st line center but he's actually a 2nd line center. Why not just trade him? They should have more than enough in the trade capital to go get a true stud...
  20. So you're the one that got rid of Fernando Rodney........ jerk.
  21. Alex Reyes was non tendered. GO GET HIM HARRIS!
  22. Man, our farm system is going to be reeeeevamped. It'll take a few years, but I'm very pleased with the new leadership comming in.

  24. https://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-rumors-august-21-2022/ - Interesting article on Bertuzzi. Good to see people think he has value though.
