I wanted a guy who was so good at recruiting, he could T-bag Saban. Not a guy that just lays down an waits to be T-bagged by every coach in Division 1. Oi vey. I hope this article is wrong.

I keep getting an error that the certificate for this page is expired? I have to click "advanced" when the screen pops up, then click the link for every single page. How do I fix that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As long as he's a good recruiter, I'll be happy. I think U of M has had a lot of great coaches recently. But when you are constantly throwing 4 stars up against stacked 5 star teams, you can't overcome that. We need more *elite* talent. So I really hope Harbaugh goes after extremely good recruiters just like Lincoln Riley did at USC. USC will be a top 5 team within 2 years and will be a constant CFB playoff team from there on out.... That's what we need to do/be..... All starts with recruitment.

Assuming Tork and Greene are who we hope for, if you take out Baez, who out of the other 6 batters are 1st divison regulars? *cough* no one. We will have one of the worst lineups in MLB next year......
-
Meh, sorry. I'm definitely disagreeing with this.... I'd rather have Correa over Baez any day of the week.... (assuming the contract length could be the same). The Tigers have always gone after All or nothing hitters.... I'm too lazy to look it up but I bet over the last 30 years, the Tigers are one of the top 3 teams in strikeouts if not the top team. Baez fits the tigers mold PERFECTLY. Dude will lead the league in K's, hitting .280 with a .310 OBP.... Perfect Tiger..... Yes he might hit 30 Homeruns. But I'd rather have a good defensive shortstop hitting ..280/.360 with 25 HR's instead..... Baez Career Line: .264/.307/.477/.783 (OPS) - 953 Strikeouts Correa Career Line: .277/.356/.481/.837 (OPS) - 660 Strikeouts Give me Correa please.

Computer version. I'm flying up to Michigan from SC in February for my draft. hah we really are nerds.

Thank you. I am part of a fantasy baseball league that dates back to the early 1980's. Its a STRATO-Matic league if anyone knows what that is. Trying to figure out a trade and needed input on which one to go after because I needed games at first base and OF. (Although I honestly wouldn't mind if the Tigers got either one of these guys too).

Need some help. Since there's no MLB forum, which would you prefer? Just completely curious what ya'll think. Forget what you'd have to give up. Just going forward, which would you rather have between the 2?

I like Schoop. Don't get me wrong. But he's not a top 15 second basemen in the league..... And he's our 2nd best hitter on our team now. And we are ready for the playoffs? Oof. I want to be optimistic. But let this marinate for a second and honestly tell me you disagree....... Our pitching is lightyears ahead of our hitters any day. Our only prayer is Torkelson and Greene come up and don't act like Jared Kelenic which very well could happen. Then we'll have 3 decent hitters (Tork, Greene, Baez) and 2 Meh hitters in our lineup (giving Grossman some love just cause of his OBP). Tough to be in the playoffs with 5 hitters and 4 black holes.....
-
Our lineup literally might have one first division Regular in it. We are going to suck boys. Unless Torkelson and Greene come up on fire and both bat .300/.350+/.500+ we might, MIGHT get 3rd in our division. We basically have three bats (maybe four if you are a Candy believer) that could potentially be starting on a real play off team. I don't want to be debbie downer, but our lineup flat out blows. We played out of our minds last year. Our pitching I think is WAY ahead of our hitters. You can't win a division, let alone playoff games with three good hitters (assuming we get the 2nd half Baez and Tork and Greene come up with no growing pains). Those three are literally our only decent hitters and two of them haven't even played in the majors yet..... We might have the worst lineup in the American League if not all of MLB......

That was the Walker show.... He literally beat UofM by himself. W/o him, MSU is a 3 win team if that...... -
I just saw Randy's post in the draft thread where we won't lose our 1st and 2nd rounders anymore.... I hope thats the case. I hadn't heard that an thought we'd still lose our early picks next year if we signed a player who turned down the Qualifying Offer......
