It's actually a little ways from Tampa. But where it's located, it's hard to get into. There are two big parking lots and one main road leading out. So it gets backed up easily. It is remarkable how small it actually is as well. There's literally like 20 rows in the OF total.... I remember thinking if I was going to sit in the OF, no matter where I sat, I was taking my glove for protection because any HR could reach the farthest back row. They needed an upgrade pretty bad. Now in terms of people showing up, hopefully more people will turn out with a new stadium. I'm not a Rays person by any means so I can't speak of the people in the area going to games. I just made the trek down a few times to see Longoria and what not. It's easy for them to "sell out" though because their stadium is so small.....

That's great for the area. I live in Orlando now but have been down to the Trop. It is TINY! And on top of that, the parking around it is horrendous. They need a new stadium badly. Very cool news.

Sad part is you guys don't have space for all these guys. You can move a lot of these pieces and still be able to fill them with other prospects. Let alone sign a FA to fill a hole. The talent level in the O's organization minors is envious. Amazing job but now you have too much prospect capital in your books.... Great problem to have.

I'm just glad there's a lot of buzz. A week ago I woulda put a trade at 20% of happening. Now I'm at least up to 40%. (I'm in the trade Skubal crowd btw, just don't think it will actually happen..... [at this point]).

I wonder if I'm the only one that still believes he'll be just fine. He went 1-1 for a reason. I don't think he's a Nick Sinzel.... a .280/.370+/.500+ stat line will do just fine. I could see that still in him. Maybe I'm delusional........

Goodness I hope not. I was at Armando Galleraga's Perfect Non-perfect game. Umps blowing calls is part of the game. Especially with Balls and Strikes. Now I saw a clip where Paul Skenes was able to challenge Balls/Strikes in the minors by Jomboy. THAT would be cool in the majors. If the pitchers wrong, it should count as a balk or something crazy though to limit the challenges.

Do you realize how rare a power throwing Cy young worthy lefty is with 4 years of control? Whens the last one? Randy Johnson? (And yes, Juan Soto is a generational talent). But Skubals on the path. Not to mention, he's going to make whichever team acquires him the front runner for the World Series for the next 2 years (at least). I say that because you pair him and Corbin Burnes as a 1-2 with BAL, who else can give you that good of a 1-2? Chances of you winning a 5 game series go up 10 fold.

Abrams, Wood, Gore and Hassell were ALL top 100 prospects. Gore and Abrams were top 25 at the time.

Didn't Albies and Acuna both sign after like a year+ of service time? Neither one got a contract before they debut. I could totally see Boras signing Holliday and Henderson for all of their arb years plus one or two years of FA. That seems to be the going rate right now.

The Tigers are aiming for a top 30 prospect. Realistically it'd probably be closer to 50 and a throw in pitcher/lottery ticket. They should be able to get a top 100 prospect pretty easily.

This is why I said that. In order to get SKubal, the O's would have to pay the pony so to speak. It'd cost em more than Mayo and Basallo for a 4 year controlled Cy Young Candidate. I still stick by my original guess 😎

Dodgers wont take on Baez's contract, it'd push them to the next tier in salary cap. Better for Tigers to eat it and maximize prospect return. The Dodgers just added a few kids in the draft this year that would be nice as well to be added to a package. The Dodgers Farm system has taken a beating though over the last few years and is probably in the 5-10 range now not the top 3. There's a big difference from that too. I still think the Orioles make the most sense. They have more prospects than places to put them and are in win now and Corbin Burnes only has this year and next. They won't sign him to a $300/$400 million contract so adding SKubal now is their best bet to make two really good runs at it. They can make the "stupid" offer, win a World Series and still be loaded for the foreseeable future.....

If they were smart, they'd do what the Braves did and start offering ALL their young stars team friendly 5-8 year deals. Can you imagine if they lockup Cowser, Kjerstad, Henderson, and Rutschman right now for 5 years? Sheeeeeesh.

Just curious, (not just you but anyone). Lets say a hypothetical situation, where our team was the Orioles current players but we had the Tigers Farm system. Would you trade your top 4 prospects (Clark, McGonigle, Jung, Jobe) to get to the World Series This year if your team was stacked? I'm truly curious on the responses to that question.

Tigers are focusing pitching and SS prospects. Good mix of HS and College so far.

Wouldn't it be cool to announce a trade during an All-Star Game. Can you imagine an Orioles player coming up to Skubal and giving him a Jersey and saying, "Welcome to the team!" Admit it, that'd be dope..... I wonder if that's ever happened. Good trivia. Doubt it but it'd be cool if it did.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again Skubal for Cowser/Kjersted (Don't care which one) Mayo Basallo Povich/McDermit (Don't care which one) Plus one other Norby (I like most but this is probably too much) You Do it! Get'er done Scott.

If 3 of these guys actually make it long term (including Greene) we are doing good.... I would love for them all to hit but realistically its highly doubtful...
