  1. He's touched 99
  2. Yes, but you don't draft for that as a ceiling, you draft for stars, settle for anything less.
  3. No, why would it, it's scouting driven.
  4. No one is saying he's a bad defender. What they are saying is his range and arm are a bit short of major league average.
  5. No, he's playable at second, he's not cringeworthy on defense like Jacob Berry, it's just not a plus.
  6. Well, if you're going to hit .400, you're going to have a high babip.
  7. All the speculation is kind of silly. They have their board, the top of which is most assuredly dominated by hitters, but it all depends on who goes before their pick, and then they'll take whoever is their highest rated player remaining.
  8. Rodriguez may not be communicating with anyone, including his agent.
  9. I'd rather have Gauthier or Kasper, but they may not make it to them, but if they don't, then one of the "top five" may drop. should be interesting.
  10. This is an unusual draft in that the first 8-10 are very closely bunched, so it might not take as much to move up. On the other hand, why move up when you can save your bullets and get a comparatively ranked player by staying put?
  11. He's an unfinished product. Let him learn to hit all types of pitching.
  12. If you're not going to play Baddoo every day, leave him in Toledo.
  13. This doesn't make much sense, when Greene was "sitting there", he picked him.
  14. People look at his matchstick build and just assume he's going to be outmuscled in the NBA, but the dude can play. He can do a lot of valuable things in today's game. He's not going to be wrestling for position in the paint...
  15. 1. Keith 2. Campos 3. Pacheco 4. Santana 5. Orsorio 6. Sequera 7. DIngler
  16. Not useful.
  17. With prospects, of course, tools are important, but often the overriding factor in progressing to the bigs is the ability to make adjustments, to make corrections when a weakness is exposed, and fact is, you don't know who that is going to be ahead of time. Some have that tenaciousness and aptitude and many don't. Some players with meager ability will make it because they have that ability, and many tooled up prospects will fail because they don't.
  18. I don't think so, they are saying Ivey and Sharpe have higher ceilings, and the Pistons should take the highest ceiling player, granting that Murray has the higher floor.
  19. It wasn't at all talent, he was a moody, immature, unfocused, uncoachable personality who lived hard.
  20. Darko had the talent to justify his draft position, but he was a knucklehead; stubborn, immature, uncoachable, and lived a very dissipative lifestyle. Is there any reason to assume Sharpe has similar character flaws?
  21. Well, the first season off TJ is usually a bumpy road and they should be cautious with him. The second year is when they generally return to full health.
  22. No, he had reduced velo initially, after being shut down post draft. He regained his velo his second year, until TJ.
