  1. Each of those teams was horrible in its own way but the first two saw marked improvements the following season with a return to the playoffs. So 2019-20 gets the nod as the worst because we're still trying to dig out of it. Worth noting that new coaches took over in 77/78 and 86/87. Yet another reason to fire Newsey
  2. On the plus side...we won't have to tolerate any "Buehler...Buehler.." jokes
  3. Williams and Daniels are playing well right now...Daniels in particular
  4. I like the Morgan comp as they both had the hit for power and average and had a lot of speed...they also won pretty much wherever they went
  5. That was a Barry quality spin by Gibbs
  6. Iffy blitzing in the dime package could make life even harder for Caleb
  7. That little left hand shot in the lane has been money for Cade. If nothing else, he's clearly established himself as a foundational piece this year. Is KD ever going to age?
  8. If Buffalo is looking to dump guys they will have trouble signing...Byram and Peterka would be great. Peterka can take a spot on the first line with 71 and 23. Kasper can C the 2nd line. Byram can play the 2nd pair ..eventually with ASP. Everything else on the roster is junk..including Kane. Kane may gave some value to a contender needing scoring. Can't see anyone other than one of the goalies being of interest to anyone. Would love to see what Biuim, Wallinder and Tuomisto can do...not gonna see all three at once, but why not give them a few games each to see what you have there? Michael Misa would be great if we can get some lotto luck...
  9. AJ and Fetter both seem to be cognizant of the need to give pitchers a rest....they are the anti Dusty Baker
  10. Saw Henderson play in Tiger Stadium in his first full year...1980. What an amazing talent..
  11. https://x.com/bkfan09/status/1870511416261882347 Tigers have a 2027 signee lined up...that's playing the long game
  12. Speaking of goalies...Husso let in six last night for the Griffs.
  13. I was talking to the coach of my alma mater (BGSU) about a kid who was great athlete and had prototypical size to be a great LB. Unfortunately..he couldn't mentally process the reads he would have to make defensively so they moved him to TE where he didn't have to process as much mentally. I imagine it's a huge issue for an NFL QB to have that deficit
  14. Trading Tage Thompson to us will fix them
  15. Yeah...its tough to hit on picks after round 1.....but none of those guys look "notable" four years after the draft.
  16. Berggren always truck me as being not a good enough skater to be as small as he is. If he skated like that as a 6-2, 215lb it would be one ting. but 5-11 and 190ish...he needs to be faster
  17. I grew up in the 70's HATING the Vikings...esp from 70-74 when we had decent teams that somehow always lost to them. If that happens this year...I'm gonna....get really mad
  18. There was a time when it looked like te Leafs had the makings of a dynasty....that ship has sailed
  19. Or Gabe Vilardi...Martin Necas or Nick Suzuki instead of Rasmussen in 2017
  20. This team needs major surgery beyond the five really good players and Kasper.. who shows potential. So much dead wood. Really expected more from Ras and Veleno. Hoped for more from Kane and Tarasenko Really starting to question keeping Stevie ...Newsey should be gone now
  21. Another deck chair for the Titanic...the Weaver was frustrating ...all that time and all we really got was Cade and maybe Ivey
  22. Getting Bregman would be an improvement in the near term and help build on the notion that the team is in it to win now. Of course...the same sort of things were said when they signed Javy
  23. UM is kinda swimming against the current running a twin towers line up with Wolf and Goldin (both 7 ft post players)... I think it's more or less working so far because Wolf has the range and passing skills to effectively work the high post. No idea if he has the quickness or ability to be a rim protector...but at the very least he seems like an interesting bench guy in the league
  24. In going for Campbell put his money on his offense instead of his defense. Given the personnel at his disposal, it was the smart move
