I am guessing Ivey might have tweaked something. The fact he hasn't played this second half is odd given how desperate we are for somebody to knock down a three.
The Pistons second unit has been dominated tonight in a way that I have not seen much this season. The are getting poor looks almost every time down on offense.
Duren should be the centerpiece of a Giannis trade if we went that route.
I would love Giannis but I also think there is a pretty good chance the injury issues that are happening this season are going to continue for him. Hard to justify paying the high price it will take to get him
Sacremento has no desire to play defense.
You watch a game like this and think maybe Cade needs to lower the volume on three point attempts a little bit and focus more on the mid range. He's just too good from mid range not to take advantage of it more.
I was going to ask about Ausar's minutes after looking at the box score. For a team that is built on it's defense and then you lose a game giving up 131 points, it seems like something is off when your best defender only plays 16 minutes.
Guys who can't draw up successful plays out of timeouts are usually not good coaches. Have seen it time and time again. I like JB so maybe he breaks the mold on this but it is usually a bad sign if you have a coach that can't draw up plays.
I think we should be looking at another big. The team is built on defense and I think a two big lineup maximizes our defensive potential, especially when Stewart is on the court as one of them.
I don't really want to pay Duren either. At least see what is available at the deadline.
The Pistons also should challenge Isaiah Stewart to control his emotions so we can play him 30 minutes a game. He needs to be a big part of our future.
Duren is getting a lot of good publicity this year for his improvement and a lot of it is well deserved. But his rim protection is so frustrating at times. He basically gives you the minimum what a guy with his size and athleticism could provide.
