  1. Watch the first 10 seconds of this clip. Look at the inside of the door when he opens it. This is from season 1 and it has NSFW language.
  2. A crane caught fire and eventually collapsed in NYC. NSFW language.
  3. Yeah, that was kind of a low point for me. Even worse since the safety mechanisms are rather simple and you do not need a technician to fix them. Our maintenance guys maintain and fix ours. Your average DIY homeowner could fix it.
  4. Episode 7 was great. Maybe do not read further if you have not watched episode 7 yet. I assumed they were talking about Alinea when they said it was a 3 star restaurant. But the episode was shot in a place called Ever owned by Curtis Duffy. The background/extra people in the episode were employees at Ever. Duffy and his staff also made all of the food for the episode. Duffy is a legend in Chicago culinary circles. Worked at Charlie Trotters, chef de cuisine (head chef) at Alinea when it opened, chef de cuisine at 2 star Avenues in the Peninsula, co-owner and chef de cuisine at 3 star Grace before it closed, and now Ever has 2 stars. It was a great portal into the insane world of fine dining. I loved the guy explaining why he works in that field. And yes, you will have a long discussion about a single smudge. And yes, a restaurant of that caliber will research you when you book a reservation. My single complaint about this episode is the same I have for ever episode of this series. Not enough Oliver Platt.
  5. Servers do not care if you tip in cash or by plastic just as long as you tip. Most just report their CC tips and pocket the cash assuming the CC tips make up a big enough % of their sales. The IRS wants to see 8% of your sales reported as tips.
  6. I wasn't aware he was offered a spot. I sort of wish he had taken it to knock the rust off before training camp.
  7. Nice environment for him to be around.
  8. Fournier comes off as a big douche here, and not just because he is French. Rose has never said one word publicly about his benching. So bad move from Fournier bringing Rose into it like that. And after Fournier was benched, the Knicks improved a lot. So it was probably the right move.
  9. One of the Pistons blogs just suggested Miles Bridges as a Pistons target in 2024 free agency. How can you watch Troy Weaver talk and then think Miles Bridges could ever be a Piston? He can't go two minutes without saying he wants the right type of player, on and off the court, in Detroit. Do you really think a guy who beat his wife in front of their child is that type of guy?
  10. Draymond is entertaining today.
  11. And Presti doesn't screw up drafts like Weaver does. That is probably the larger point here. Especially since I believe Detroit has the same amount of first round picks as OKC since Weaver arrived in Detroit. Weaver screwed himself with that Hayes draft. Missing on a top 7 pick and then going out to attain more picks and bringing back a mediocre return hurt him right out of the gate.
  12. Good lord. Billionaire Mat Ishbia razing 5 Bloomfield Twp. homes to build mansion, 'amusement park'
  13. Not a bad pick as a dark horse ROY candidate. 29 years old. The best player in Europe last year. Shoots well from three. Going to a good situation where he can spot up and let SGA and Giddey feed him. Just looked at MGM and he isn't even on the board.
  14. No subscription so I can't read it. But the headline suggests Gores has switched to win now mode. Tom Gores: Pistons rebuild has taken longer than planned. It's time to win now
