  1. The two best prospects not in the NBA are Cooper Flagg and Cameron Boozer. Both will be juniors in high school this year and are playing in this weekends Peach Jam AAU tournament. Last night, Flagg had 34 points, 20 rebounds, 10 blocks, and 5 assists. And that was the second game he played that day. Earlier in the morning he had 37/12/10/6. Flagg's team goes up against Boozer's team today in the championship game. You can watch it on ESPNU at 2PM.
  2. My favorite thing about Keyonte. Peoples auto correct changes his name to Keynote. He had 33 tonight.
  3. Crazy SGA is probably already a top 10 player. Giddey looks good. Williams was fantastic as a rookie last year. And the #2 pick in last years draft hasn't played one second yet. Then all that draft capital.
  4. And that left half hook I mentioned. After playing good defense.
  5. Ausar - No clue about his offense from this game since he didn't get a lot of chances. Nice half hook lefty finish on the one drive. Good from the line. Defense, oh boy, he was really good. Kept his man in front of him all night, even switching onto a PG a few times. His movement is really fluid. Had 3 blocks and they only credited him with 1 steal, but he had very active hands. I think he has 4 or 5 deflections. His rebounding was great and I loved the few times he grabbed it and took off up the court. Made a couple of really nice open court passes as well. He looked comfortable. The sub pattern with him seemed odd. He didn't seem to get long stretches to build momentum. I wish Popcorn Machine did summer league games so I can see his minute distribution. I also wish we saw more movement from him on offense. Ivey - He had like 3 TO's in the first 2 minutes. His defense is still ass. If a defender sags off of him Ivey can get by him. But if the defender is up in his chest, Ivey doesn't have the lateral quickness to get past him. Go watch Jalen Green. You get into his chest and he will cook you. Chalk it up to a bad game. I'm sure every NBA groupie on earth is in Vegas this week. Maybe he was distracted. Duren - Still terrible on defense. His shot was falling so that is something. Maybe it is PTSD but I still get Drummond vibes from him. Kinda lazy, uses his length and athleticism instead of technique. Wiseman - Really pulling for him since he has the most upside of the bigs. But I don't know man. Him and Duren will really benefit from playing with Cade. Bigs need a good PG. Sassar - Mixed bag. Hit a few threes, defense wasn't much to write home about. I was annoyed he fouled a 3PT shooter. Livers - DNP-CD. Going to play the odds here and guess he is injured. Nobody else is really relevant.
  6. An extra $25m in incentives if he proves the earth is flat.
  7. Emoni Bates doing what Emoni Bates does. Shoot poorly. 16 points on 17 shots and zero assists. Can you get a passport after catching a gun charge? Asking for a former Gatorade player of the year.
  8. Not saying he will be back for sure. But renouncing McGruder is par for the course. A free agent has something called a cap hold assigned to them. It is the greater of 150% of last years salary or the average league salary. That number is included in your teams salary cap. It basically exists so you don't let all of your team enter free agency the same summer, sign a $130m worth of new guys, then sign all your free agents back using Bird rights. A cap hold is a percentage of last years salary (150% or 125% depending on years in the league) or the average league salary, whichever is greater. Since McGruder makes so little his cap hold will be the league avg salary, which I believe is around $8M. So you renounce McGruder, open up that $8M in cap space and later on you can sign McGruder back for the vet minimum, which even teams over the cap can do. I am pretty sure he gets renounced every summer.
  9. I don't know why but this cracks me up. She is talking about Victor.
  10. New York Post reporting today the Jeff Van Gundy is exploring his coaching options now that he was let go by ESPN.
  11. Paul George was traded to LAC four years ago. Here is what OKC received. SGA Danilo Gallinari Tre Mann Jalen Williams 2024 LAC first round pick. Unprotected. 2026 LAC first round pick. Unprotected. 2025 right to pick swap with LAC. Future Miami first round pick.
  12. Just takes an owner with some backbone. I would immediately announce we are no longer looking to trade Lillard. Then announce he will continue to have full access to training/medical facilities/staff. He will not be allowed to participate in practice or training camp. He will not be allowed to attend any team functions. And he will never wear a Portland uniform again. People will say that is extreme and you are losing value on him, but you really aren't. Having to take a bunch of crap from Miami that I don't want isn't value. You are required to pay 90% of the cap anyway, so paying him is no problem. You have two very nice pieces in Sharpe and Scoot to begin your rebuild. You are going to lose a lot of games the next 3 years either way. Do it in a way that lets you take back a little control. My guess is Lillard would approve a few more trade destinations after you announced that.
  13. ESPN said Lillard's agent has been calling potential trade partners telling them not to trade for Dame. They would be trading for a very unhappy player.
  14. Maybe Keegan Murray shouldn't play summer league. 41 points and 4 blocks.
  15. How long before someone plays porn on it?
