  1. Guess I missed this. Ferrari’s strategy change focused on improving communication
  2. You almost forget how good the Ferrari was to start the year. They just never improved the car and Red Bull did.
  3. Oates said this has been addressed and wont happen again. They have used this all season.
  4. Harden is so bad on defense. Smart is not a threat to shoot. Harden should have positioned himself between Smart and Tatum to stop that pass.
  5. Correctly waived it off btw.
  6. Man, Embiid just nailed a 3/4 shot to win it and they are waiving it off.
  7. Remember when most of us said Al Horford was done about 3 years ago?
  8. How many organizations have won 3 titles in 15 years? Filter it more and it gets even smaller. How many have won multiple titles with different GM's and completely different teams?
  9. I don't think they have had good results and he gets a failing grade so far. But people considered Bill Davidson a great owner and his first decade of ownership was also a dumpster fire. He seems to stay out of the way of the GM. That is good. He seems willing to spend money since they are over the cap every year. That is good. They seem to have top notch facilities. That is good. He seems terrible at identifying the correct person to run the basketball side of things. That is obviously bad. But 90% of the league can't hire the right guy, so I don't know. I guess the first three don't matter if you suck at number four.
  10. Ford suspends electric F-150 Lightning production for another week following battery fire
  11. Something to remember about Henderson. He is by far playing against the best competition of all the draft candidates.
  12. No it isn't. No no no. Damn it.
  13. I remember beating up the kids that made pinewood derby cars.
  14. Third time this season he had 7 blocks in a game.
  15. Stanley Johnson never had elite athleticism, passing, or defense. Funny enough, SJ shot 40% from three in college.
  16. The age difference is huge and definitely not overblown and it has absolutely nothing to do with experience. Just look at last night with GG guarding him. Both are freshman but Miller turned 20 before GG turned 18. Pretty large physical difference between 20 and 18. Miller hasn't improved as much as he is just playing worse competition now. I watched him against Tennessee and he couldn't even get to the rim. He only took like three two point attempts. No handle, no burst, couldn't get to the rim or even in the paint. He ended up just being a spot up shooter, which is what he will most likely be in the NBA. And thats fine, the league needs a ton of those guys. Just not sure you draft them top 3. I take Amen over Miller in a heartbeat. Although I am also concerned about his age as well. Miller will be better rookie year and maybe the first two or three since Amen has a lot of work to do. But he has elite athleticism, elite defense, and elite passing and possibly one of the worst jump shots I ever saw. But by year 4 or 5 he should be fantastic and possibly challenge Scoot and Victor for best player in the class. If Nick Smith Jr gets healthy I think he climbs into the top 5. He has missed about 12-15 games and played hurt in most other games. But now that he is getting healthy I think his stock is going to rise quite a bit. Also kind of stumbled onto Anthony Black while watching Arkansas games to see Smith. Really good defender, above average passer, gets to the rim pretty easy but can't shoot the three.
  17. They kind of buried the lede. They are only 3 games behind the 4th seed and 4 games behind the 3rd seed.
  18. If Miller continues to stat pad against really bad teams like last night, he might go higher. But truth is, he isn't that good against good teams. Against ranked opponents this year: 17 ppg 7 rpg 1.6 apg. Not bad, but not exactly top 3 pick material. But the shooting numbers are what is worrisome. 37% from the field. 34% from three. That includes a game against Houston where he played 30 minutes and had zero FG's. A game against UNC where he played 48 minutes (4OT game) and had 4 FG's. Those are just the raw numbers. That isn't even bringing up his limitations, very low shot release (He shoots from his chin), and how old he is. A 19 year old freshman is considered old and Miller is already 20 and will be 21 when the NBA season starts. A nice tournament run against solid competition would help alleviate some of those concerns.
  19. A few surprises while doing my morning reading. First, an article about Mercedes and Toto in the WSJ. Then I open The Athletic and see they are starting an F1 section.
