    What do the Pistons need? Secondary scorer to help Cade Backup PG Backup PF People will say shooting, but meh. If Cade can figure out his shot, I think they are fine there. If they do add shooting, it can not be a shooting specialist. It needs to be someone who does other things. The Pistons control all of their first round picks through 2032. They also have a $14.3 million traded player exception they created in the Schroder trade this summer. TPE's can only be used in trades, no free agents. It can also be split between multiple players. It can not be combined in trades with other salary. So you cant trade Ivey + the TPE. You can trade the TPE + picks. I really doubt he plays in the NBA this year. But the Pistons still hold Malik Beasley's early Bird rights. Which means they can sign him for something like $7.2 million.

    Figured I would start a separate thread for trade deadline stuff. It will be for the entire league, not just the Pistons. Trade deadline is February 5th. Trades must be submitted to the league office by 3 p.m. ET. 99% of what's posted here will be complete bull****. Until it's not.

    5 game road trip. Portland, Sacramento, Utah, LAC, and LAL. Two games in the same town helps cut down some travel, but it sucks they are on the road over Christmas. First 4 games should be a breeze. With a little luck, they will catch The Lakers resting LeBron or Luka. Strong possibility they go 5-0 on this trip. The Pistons schedule is set up really nice. There are only two instances where they play two good teams in a row. End of February they play San Antonio and the next game is OKC. Then at the end of March they play @Minnesota and the next game is @OKC. It's mostly good then bad, good then bad. Every team has one team where they play back to back road games against. Our team this year is Washington, so that's a break. Last two games of the year are Charlotte and Indiana. So if they need an extra win to break a tie, those two games set up nicely for that.
