I'm struggling to understand Ivey. His injury should not have been debilitating, but he doesn't seem capable of getting downhill anymore and has been relegated to being a spot up shooter. Maybe it's mental.

People are predicting Young won't play much at all the rest of the year. Wizards lose their pick if its outside the top 8.

It's hard to make Nico look competent, but the Hawks did it. They turned Luka into 34 year old CJ and Corey Kispert. Masterclass in asset mismanagement.

Sort of reading the tea leaves here. But that means they want something with lottery chances. So they probably won't value the Pistons picks very much.

Ivey's trade value will be higher this summer. It would have to be a sign and trade then, which would remove the contract variable and teams would be willing to offer more for him.

All NBA contracts become guaranteed on January 10th. But players must clear waivers before the 10th for it not to guarantee. That means they have to be cut by today. The only two Pistons impacted by this are Green and Isaac Jones.

What you proposed with the swaps is legal. But I don't think a swap moves the needle for either of those teams. Detroit should be picking in the 20's for the next half decade. So a swap doesn't have a lot of value with Detroit. It just depends on how those teams value Ivey and/or Holland. Murphy has 3 1/2 years left on his contract and MPJ has 1 1/2 years left. So neither team is in a position where they have to trade them. To get them you will have to throw out a really attractive package. The odds of landing one of them are really against us. Landing both isn't realistic IMO.

lol zero interest. I saw one idiot propose a trade that had Young and filler going to NYK for KAT and filler. Yeah, just what NY wants. Two 6 footers running their backcourt.
