Moore gave a presser on Monday. No way they put him out there if they were even considering firing him. Something had to break between Monday and this afternoon.

They just passed a new rule. You get 15 days to enter the portal 5 days after the new coach is hired. I don't know if this new rule has started or not yet.

Even if you could talk yourself past the injury concerns, it doesn't address what a bad fit Davis is for a team like Detroit. He is a career 29% 3PT shooter. In 10 games this season, he is shooting 33%. But minus this season, the last time he shot >= 30% from three is the 2019-20 season. Between then and now, he has shot 25% from three. I do think we get carried away with shooting sometimes. You don't need 5 guys shooting 40% from distance on the floor at all times. But you need 2 or 3 good shooters at a minimum on the floor at all times. Assuming Harris is the one dealt for Davis, the Pistons would not have that. Cade - shooting 29% this year career 33% Robinson - Elite shooter Ausar - 31% but he only makes 0.3 per game. Basically, he makes a 3 point attempt every 4th game. Davis - see above Duren - Non-shooter. Has only attempted 9 shots outside 10 feet this season. You think they see a lot of zone now, run that team out there and see what happens. They might not see man defense the rest of the season. So injury concerns are not the only reason this trade should not happen.
