I lost the tweet but the league fined Utah $100K for violating the player participation rule. Basically for tanking and making it a bit obvious.

Good teams do not pay to find out if a player is good or not.

I didn't even spill any of my conservative juices on you guys.

This article explains it. Here's a Super Bowl riddle: Why are egg prices surging — but not chicken wings?
-
The biggest part is how long birds are kept alive. Layers can live up to two years and broilers (meat birds) are slaughtered around the 7-week mark. So broilers do not have as much time to catch the virus. That also means layers are older and weaker, which could make it easier to catch the virus. You also have to consider how fast a farm can get back up and running after destroying their flock. Like I said, in 7 weeks, a broiler can be butchered. Layers can take up to 20 weeks to start producing eggs. So almost 3x as long to recover for egg producing farms vs meat farms.

Nice. I looked it up and you guys passed a cage free law in 2016 and looks like it took effect in 2022.

Betrayer's post in the info thread reminded me of this. Sam and Bryce talk Duren. 100% with Sam when he says no way is he giving Duren $25 million a year. Also agree with them that if Ausar is the guy, Duren probably has to go. It should start at the Duren segment. If it doesn't then skip to 16m0s.

Yep. I see restaurants paying up to $8-$9 wholesale per dozen. Does Jersey have a cage free law? Our people at work noticed sometime ago that cage free are now cheaper than normal eggs. That is not normally the case. We think eggs in Michigan are cheaper than most places because of the law the governor signed that made Michigan a cage free state at the 1st of the year. The flu doesn't impact those flocks as much because of the better living conditions.

I dont doubt you. But you are using a singular location, while this index tracks national average prices.

Bridges just asked Thibs to back off on the starter's minutes. He might be in the G-League by the time the playoffs start.

I would probably wait a bit to see if the drop is permanent or not. But they are definitely going down. Fun fact. I see other restaurant owners in other areas of the country posting prices they pay. They are paying more wholesale than we pay retail in Michigan.

Google tells me VW, Ford, Mercedes, GM, Nestle, IBM, Siemens, Chase, BASF, Bayer, and Bosch all were intertwined with Nazi Germany in some way. Every one of them still exists. They were involved with a regime that killed over 6 million people, and they exist like nothing happened. So no, I don't think Musk is in much danger there.

Certainly a possibility.

That reporter seems a bit dumb. His wealth is not based on Tesla stock. Tesla has 3.22 billion public shares outstanding. Musk owns 12.9% of that which is 412,800,000 shares. At the current price of 208 per share that is just under $103 billion. OpenAI is valued at $50 billion and he owns 54% of that. SpaceX is valued around $350 billion and he owns like 42% of that. Starlink hasn't done a round of funding since 2021 but that valued it at over $70 billion. Musk owns about 40% of that. Tesla goes to zero and it dings his ego for sure. But he doesn't even flinch financially.

Since Hartenstein was brought up. Here is what Zach Lowe said about him at the end of last season when discussing his two all defensive teams.

They don't have to worry about paying Duren for another 15 months. Unless he takes a team friendly deal like Stew did there is zero reason to sign him this year. From Duren's side, there is also no reason for him to sign this summer. If he thinks he is an up and comer he would be better off putting another season, and another playoff run, on his resume. This summer, he can't negotiate with other teams. So he has no external pressure to put on Detroit to give him a larger deal. Wait until summer of 2026 and actually enter free agency so he can negotiate with everyone. It is also a decent FA class that summer, so teams are starting to maneuver to open up cap space. Another plus for a guy like Duren. If he stinks it up in this years playoffs, you have to give considerable thought to trading him this summer. If you feel Ausar is part of this team's future, I don't see how Duren also is. You can't play two guys at once that are not a threat from more than 5 feet from the basket. The picture will be a bit more clear after the playoffs.

Cavs up 18 on Milwaukee with 4 minutes left in the game. Chance to gain a game on the Bucks. -

Come on JB. If they are picking up Cade 3/4 quart you can't let him bring the ball up. He will be dead on his feet by time the 4th quarter starts. -

Man, that Clingan guy is massive. Duren is a big guy and he looks like a little kid next to him. -
