    That is exactly what he did. Why someone with over a million dollars would do that for just $11,000 is beyond me. The -12500 are the payout odds on the moneyline. Using a more normal example of Cavs vs Pistons and the Cavs moneyline is say, -200. The negative means the Cavs are the favorite. And the -200 means you bet $1 to win 50 cents. A point spread bet also has odds, normally -110. So say the Cavs are -5 -110. If the Cavs win by 6 and you bet $1 you would win 91 cents. That is how books usually make their money. I bet a dollar on Detroit and lose the entire dollar. You bet a dollar on Cleveland and win 91 cents. The book makes 9 cents.

    Few things I forgot to mention. Wembanyama is only shooting 29% from three. He shot 25% last year. Bates is listed at #40. Sam has Jett Howard at #16.

    Are they not developing? The same people that want Casey fired will also tell you Killian is playing the best basketball of his career. Stewart has added a 3pt shot, with mixed results. They will tell you how great Duren and Ivey are playing. IMO if those are true Casey should get some of the credit. Before the season I believe I said 28 wins and that is when I assumed Cade would be healthy. So no I didn't expect a lot of wins because I thought Weaver did a bad job assembling the roster. I do not think Casey is the coach to take them to the next level. But I also don't think they will be ready to take that step next year no matter who the coach is. I won't complain if they fire him or move him upstairs. But I also won't mind if they let him finish the last year of his deal. As long as they move on after next season.

    Instead of CDs consider a 1 year T-Bill instead. You get a higher rate (4.7% today) and the gains are not taxed at the state and local level, increasing your yield even more over a CD. On top of that you preserve your liquidity.

    Also, why did Weaver extend Casey another year if he had no intention of letting him finish it out? Casey is 100% the same coach he is today as when he signed that extension. Absolutely zero has changed. Like I said, I wouldn't fire him this year. But if they don't make the playoffs next year I would have to fire him.
