Billable hours about to check in.

Cavs do not control their own 1st round pick until 2030, so the first pick they can trade is 2031 and then 2033 is the 7th year, so you can't trade any past that. Is Mobley and two picks a half decade away going to land Giannis? I guess 2030/32 would both be swaps as well.

I only watched one Michigan game this year, and that was actually to watch Duke. But from what I have read it sounds like Johnson is pretty limited on offense. I think they would have to trade Stewart if they draft Johnson. I'm not necessarily opposed to that, he wasn't good in the playoffs either. But I do worry because Stewart is a culture guy. He sets the tone for this team and I wonder how the team reacts if he was no longer around.

And that is why you don't bring back the GM.

The league is about to drug test Harden

Good luck with that.

Cam Boozer is now my #1 pick and its very scientific how I got there. I read a rumor OKC wants to trade it's two picks to move up for Boozer. Presti is the GOAT drafter so now I like Boozer, simple. I wonder if Utah would do it if they can't move up for Dybantsa. #12 and #17, plus they pick one of JDub or Chet. That seems like decent value. After trading for JJJ they are looking to win sooner rather than later. A more veteran player might appeal to them. Their starting lineup would be: George JDub Markkanen Bailey JJJ That is a playin team with an outside shot at 5th/6th seed.

It might be. KOC is the one who had Hayes #1. That is the lowest I have seen Morez Johnson. Most have Chris Cenac higher as well. I understand Detroit needs shooting. But passing on Cenac and Johnson for a 6'1" guard isn't ideal. Draft one of those two and trade Stewart.

Visually, there isn't even anything close to The Ringer's draft site. But I still can't get over them having Killian Hayes as the #1 player in his draft.

A touch long but we enjoyed it. We both gave it two thumbs down.

Hypothetical lines is a new one to me. Wonder how I am going to spend my hypothetical winnings.

Now they wait and hope the west goes 7 and beat the hell out of each other.

Oh man, Harden has a $42 million player option. I would imagine he picks that up. Unless he thinks he can sign something like 3/$75 million.
-
I can't believer he said this.

Tonight says a lot about the Cavs. That team will look very different next year. They have tax/apron issues. Koby Altman and Atkinson are both in trouble. No way is Harden back. One of Mobley or Allen needs to go. Mitchell becomes extension eligible this summer. He probably wasn't going to sign it anyway, since waiting until next summer makes him eligible for a larger extension. But, he could be traded.

Something to consider with a sign and trade with Duren. The other team has to have guys we want. Brooklyn, Chicago, and LA do not really have anything we would want. Brooklyn has MPJ, but he might not be available now. They owe Houston a pick swap this year so they have zero incentive to tank. They would probably like to keep MPJ and try to win a bit. The players LA has that we would want are not available. That is just the teams with cap space. Sign and trades can happen with teams that do not have cap space as well.

No to both. Kyrie will be 35 when the playoffs start and George will be 36. I'm not giving up assets to obtain guys that old.
-
He would be great. But Denver would want a ton for him. Probably Ausar and multiple firsts.

Saw someone post this site and figured I would share. I like that Allen Graves kid. But I thought I read a week or two ago he was still deciding if he would remain in the draft or not. https://pistonsdraft.com/pistons-targets

If Duren knows one of them will sign him to a big offer sheet, why would he sign with Detroit for less? Sign it and make Detroit match.
-
If you only pay your players for what they do in the regular season and ignore how they perform in the playoffs, don't be surprised when all you ever have is a regular season team.

That is the beauty of restricted free agency. I set my price, and he has the ability to go out and set the market price. If he can't, guess who set the price right. If he gets a bigger offer, we deal with it then. If we're being honest, $25 million per for a guy that played bad defense and just averaged 10 and 8 in two playoff series is pretty generous and probably overpaying him. A center who doesn't shoot from more than 3 feet from the rim had a 51% FG% for the playoffs.
