Not to sound like some click bait but Stewart just destroyed Mobley.

Mitchell is out tonight.

Sam Vecenie was on Locked On Pistons. He said if Detroit is the 6th seed then Cade is a lock for all NBA. He said even finishing in the 7th or 8th slot he will have a good shot.

Assuming the Martin deal goes through and he sticks. Between now and 2031 the Pistons send out 4 of their own 2nd round picks. They bring in 11 other 2nd round picks from other teams. So they end up +7 in 2nd round picks for the next 7 years.

Bradley Beal is a far bigger hinderance to the Butler trade than any salary cap rule.

It can and will change. Ivey and Duren extensions being one of the big possible changes. But right now Detroit is projected to have about $100 million available that summer.

Wade and Okoro out. Mitchell is questionable. Cavs played and traveled last night.

So from what others are saying. Sounds like if we use the exception on Martin then we can't trade him. We have to use raw cap space if we want to package him in a larger deal.

I imagine that would be considered one of the most complicated trades ever.

Worst case. We sent nothing out for two 2nd round picks and a guy we cut this summer when his deal is not guaranteed. Best case. We use him as bait in a larger deal. Good deal either way.

Basically the trade for Martin is agreed to. They wont file it with the league until tomorrow at the deadline so their options remain open.
