  1. Wonder if he will be back in time for the playoffs...
  2. My award list. MVP - Jokic but Embiid and Giannis are fine here as well. DPOY - Bam. It should have been Bam last year. But voters are stuck in 1997 where they think rim protection is still king. But when teams take 30, 40, 50 three pointers a game, guess where your best defender should be? Bam switches better than any big in the league while still offering adequate rim protection. The knock against him is only playing in about 55 games. MIP - Dejounte Murray. Could probably put 5 or 6 other players in here without much argument. COY - Monty Williams. Another award where you could have multiple guys. Finch, Kidd, Bickerstaff, Spoelstra, Jenkins. Ty Lue didn't have PG13 or Leonard all year and still made the playin game. 6th Man - Herro. He is the only choice here. ROY - Mobley. But I am seeing a lot of media people pick Barnes. So don't be shocked if he wins. Cade will have to make do with being a permanent fixture on the All-NBA team for the next 12-15 years.
  3. Sounds like Jaylen Brown is unvaccinated. That will be an issue if they have to play Toronto in the playoffs.
  4. I imagine if you did a study you would find American players bust at the same rate as foreign players. Also, arguably the four best players in the league today are foreign born players. Luka, Giannis, Jokic, and Embiid.
  5. There is still a large bias against foreign players even among basketball people. Look at the predraft resume of Luka and you will see a huge bias against foreign players. No American born player would put up this resume and then get drafted behind turds like Ayton and Bagley. Remember. Euroleague is the second best league on earth. The ACB is considered the third best league, and second best domestic league after the NBA. And Luka completely dominated both of them. EuroLeague champion (2018) EuroLeague MVP (2018) EuroLeague Final Four MVP (2018) All-EuroLeague First Team (2018) 2× EuroLeague Rising Star (2017, 2018) EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team (2020) Euroscar Player of the Year (2019) 3× Liga ACB champion (2015, 2016, 2018) Liga ACB MVP (2018) All-Liga ACB First Team (2018) 2× ACB Best Young Player (2017, 2018) 3× ACB All-Young Players Team (2016–2018) 2× Spanish King's Cup winner (2016, 2017) 2× Trofeo Costa de Sol champion (2016, 2017) FIBA Intercontinental Cup champion (2015) EB Next Generation Tournament champion (2015) EB Next Generation Tournament MVP (2015) Slovenian Sportsman of the Year (2018)
  6. Give me some middle ground, Bey! He either scores 20+ or stinks up the entire gym, no in-between.
  7. Your concern is valid, especially about the playoffs. That is why I feel it is so important to make the playoffs by year 3 of the rebuild. So you can see how the kids perform before you have to start handing out those big extensions.
  8. They have Mark Williams at #11. I don't hate or love Murray. He should be a solid role player type. Honestly, I feel that way about most of the players in this draft. Such an odd draft.
  9. Guys that can get to the rim, hit the open jumper, and plays good defense can lead a team.
  10. Ouch. You almost have to wait until game day and make sure your guy is playing. Then buy tickets on the secondary market.
  11. I wish. Guys get rested so much now I'm afraid to buy tickets. My luck I go when Luka and Cade would both be sitting.
  12. Givony and Schmitz released their latest mock. Normally they are some of the best in the business. But Mathurin at #12 seems insane. I would sell my soul to get an extra pick and snatch him at 12. Houston Rockets: Chet Holmgren | Gonzaga | 7-0 | PF | Age: 19.9 Orlando Magic: Jabari Smith | Auburn | 6-10 | SF/PF | Age: 18.8 Detroit Pistons: Paolo Banchero | Duke | 6-10 | PF/C | Age: 19.3 Oklahoma City Thunder: Jaden Ivey | Purdue | 6-4 | PG/SG | Age: 20.1 Indiana Pacers: Keegan Murray | Iowa | 6-9 | PF/C | Age: 21.6 Portland Trail Blazers: Shaedon Sharpe | Kentucky | 6-6 | SG | Age: 18.8 Sacramento Kings: Johnny Davis | Wisconsin | 6-5 | PG/SG | Age: 20.1 New Orleans Pelicans (from Lakers): AJ Griffin | Duke | 6-6 | SF/PF | Age: 18.6 San Antonio Spurs: Jalen Duren | Memphis | 6-10 | C | Age: 18.3 Washington Wizards: Dyson Daniels | G League Ignite | 6-6 | PG/SG | Age: 19.0
  13. Yeah, I would take Mathurin over Davis. But Davis could be the second guard off the board and I don't think it is crazy to think he could end up one of the better players in the draft. Great shot maker, gets to the rim, nice mid-range game. Just lacks the three point shot, like 90% of the players in the draft.
  14. They are predicting an 80% chance its 50bps. About three years late though. They have a 50 story high rise on fire and they are trying to put it out with glasses of water from the kitchen sink.
  15. Trying to generate some clicks. 2022 NBA Draft: Top 100 Prospects Big Board V.2
  16. The Lakers will most likely lose their pick this year. It has protections on it for 11-30, meaning if it is top 11 they lose it. They will actually need to drop a couple of spots in the lottery to keep it. Someone said there is about a 0.4% chance it happens.
  17. The Lakers just lost to the Suns and are now officially eliminated from the playoffs. They cant even make the play in game.
  18. They aren't even hiding it anymore. They signed two G-League guys today and started them.
  19. OKC beat Portland tonight.
  20. Green had 30 tonight. His fifth straight game with at least 30 points.
  21. Is he sitting to protect his scoring title lead?
