There is still a large bias against foreign players even among basketball people. Look at the predraft resume of Luka and you will see a huge bias against foreign players. No American born player would put up this resume and then get drafted behind turds like Ayton and Bagley. Remember. Euroleague is the second best league on earth. Yeah, I would take Mathurin over Davis. But Davis could be the second guard off the board and I don't think it is crazy to think he could end up one of the better players in the draft. Great shot maker, gets to the rim, nice mid-range game. Just lacks the three point shot, like 90% of the players in the draft.

If it happens, it will be a deal agreed to before the draft, Portland will make the pick for us, and the trade will be completed once the new business season starts in July.
