I know it was his first game back. But still interesting to see Zion coming off of the bench and Queen starting. I'm sure that will change soon. Or Zion will get hurt again.

Not sure how true that is. Even if it is, you don't go $22 million into the 2nd apron to be the third-best team in the east.

The Cavs are an interesting team. They are $22 million over the 2nd apron. Next year, they are already $17 million over the 2nd apron with only 11 players signed. So this was pretty much their last year to make a run, considerable changes were coming this summer no matter what. Now you wonder if they maybe start breaking it up at the trade deadline if they are around .500 to save some money. Either way, I would guess Garland and Allen are gone this summer. Bad news is, they have no picks until 2030. Every pick is either traded or swapped. So they don't have a way to add cheap talent.

A lot of complaining about the end of last night's game and the Spurs fouling up 3. People want a rule change.

The Pistons are 18th in the league for 3PT% at 35.6%. Cade shoots 30.7% from three. Subtract him and his shots, the Pistons shoot 36.6% which would rank them 10th in the league. They have 3 regular rotation players that currently shoot better than 40% from three with volume. 5 rotation players over 38%. I'm always for adding more shooting, and they should if the opportunity presents itself. But I don't see it as an absolute need they have to address. Cade needs to shoot better, but there isn't a trade to directly fix that.

That search firm is going to contact a bunch of people, so this isn't really news, I guess. But if he could turn this into an extension, it would be his third since this summer.

The thing that angers me the most about the Moore situation. It has brought Jeff Moss back into my algorithm. He had been out of it for quite a while.
