    I sort of agree with pistons Twitter about that article. We are at the final game of the season and they don't yet have a clue in which direction they are going to go.

    I would have already had calls into Bob Myers to see if he has any interest in returning to the NBA. He is still very young (49) and he built the Warriors into what they were. If he has no interest I ask if he would consider a 3 month consulting gig. Fire Weaver and let Myers run the search for my next GM.

    Why keep Weaver if you are hiring someone else and giving him Weavers power? A president can make sense. Tom Wilson was the president for years. But he ran the business side, and while technically Dumars reported to Wilson, Dumars ran the basketball side. But JEIII made it sound like the new person would be running the basketball side. At that point I don't see why Weaver would be retained. Redundant layers of management is the calling card of a poorly run organization, so par for the course I guess.

    I think you are right. Maybe a different coach could have them a bit more developed. But yeah, this teams ceiling was never over 20 wins.

    Guessing this has a team option for next season with a pickup date end of July or so. Then they could use him in a trade with a team looking to drop some salary. Could also just be inept management doing their thing.

    Shams has an article in the athletic about the nets coaching search. He listed three candidates and Ollie is not one of them. He said originally he was considered but they have since moved on.

    Saw someone mention this on Reddit. The Pistons have won 93 games in the past 5 seasons. That is the lowest amount of wins in the league for that time span. Charlotte is #2 with 146. That means the next worst team in the past 5 years still won 53 more games than Detroit.

    Rare year in the MVP race. I would be fine if Luka, Jokic, or SGA won it. Might be leaning towards SGA because he plays really good defense too.

This isn't the Vancouver Grizzlies that have been around 25 years. The Pistons were founded in 1948. The gravy on this turd sandwich. Most of us don't even think he will be fired. ****
