  1. A player gets a no-trade clause for a year if his team matches an offer sheet. So they can trade him after Dec 15th, but Ayton would have to approve.
  2. Way too much smoke about the Pistons going after Ayton for it to be false. I guess we just hope Phoenix matches the offer.
  3. Depends on how sweet the offer is.
  4. Eh he isn't bad. Basically just one season with big minutes. Good shooter, can play a few minutes at PG but mostly a SG. I would be shocked if Portland let him go.
  5. Portland might have wanted it done before the draft. Grant in the bag gives then more clarity on what direction to go with #7.
  6. Normally when a pick doesn't convey due to protections you end up getting 2nd rounders instead. Our pick that we traded to Houston (Now OKC) is heavily protected. If we don't send it to them by 2027 then we send them a second round pick instead.
  7. Pretty sure this trade will not be finalized until July.
  8. If they renounce everyone and actually go with that $56M in cap space number. They could do both with some maneuvering. First year for Ayton at the max on a $122M salary cap is $30M. So you are down to $26M which is inside the 25% window of Haywards $30M, but probably not after the Pistons draft someone #5. So you would have to throw in some salary filler to Charlotte. But their entire reason to move Hayward is to open up cap space, so they probably don't want salary back. Or maybe sending out $30M and getting about $5M back is fine with them.
  9. I don't see an issue with it as long as all the teams agree. Here is the text from RealGM. They have not updated it yet so just sub in Detroit for Portland.
  10. Nope. The problem is that two teams have a claim to the pick. The Bucks traded it to New Orleans with protections on it from 5-30. They also traded it to Portland with protections on it 1-4. So the Bucks lose the pick either way. Just remains to be seen who gets it. Odds are in our favor big time, but there is a shot they could lose it.
  11. They can trade it now. Not sure how interested Sacramento would be since there is that small chance it turns into no pick. 5 and 36 ain't getting it done.
  12. So that Bucks pick. The Pistons don't get a pick if it ends up top 4 that year. The odds are small, but man, what a kick in the gut that would be.
  13. I like both of them as well so you are probably right in doing the deal. I also think there is a small chance Sharpe is there at 13.
  14. Is that my burner account?
  15. Hayward has two years left on his deal at $30M/$31M. He would actually be somewhat useful for Detroit since he will shoot 40% from three. But he just isn't healthy enough to be counted on. Also not sure how attractive #13 and #15 are this year.
  16. Rumors are that Charlotte want's to send out Hayward for cap space. They are willing to attach picks to him and hold the #13 and #15 pick this year. The Pistons now have the cap space to do it without sending anything to Charlotte if they so desire.
  17. It is pretty fair value. That Bucks pick will most likely be somewhere in the 20's. Don't forget. Grants 3PT% is 35% the last two years, below league average. His TS% the last two years is 55%, right at league average. You were never getting a lottery pick for him. He basically was traded for what Wood was just traded for, which is about right.
  18. This is from Zach Harper at The Athletic. He isn't Shams or Woj, but still a very legit guy.
  19. That would be better. Because we know if you invite 24 kids that a few are slipping to the second round. And that is painful to watch.
