Duren is allowing opponents to shoot 61.3% at the rim this year. It is the bottom third of all centers. I thought maybe his number would be trending down since most feel he is playing better defense. Since the new year, he is allowing an even worse 65.7% and is almost dead last among all centers. For reference. Stew is 45.7% for the year and 46.2% since the new year. Both in the top 5 for centers.

Avoiding the play-in is going to be real nice for this team. Their last regular season game is on a Sunday, and the actual 1–8 playoffs will start that following Saturday. So they will get 5 days off to rest/practice, possibly 6 if their first game is Sunday. So the players should be well rested. It is also nice knowing their opponent right away. The 1 and 2 seeds have to wait and see who they get. The Pistons will know who they play once the final games end on Sunday. So they have 5 or 6 days to formulate a game plan and run some practices with what they want to do in game.

Yeah. Movies about entertainers and athletes will be a sweet spot for that. Samuel L. Jackson in Coach Carter. He was born in 1948 and Ken Carter was born in 1959. But nobody really knows who Ken Carter is. Thought I had one with Moneyball. But Billy Beane is a year older than Brad Pitt. Quinton Aaron is a few years older than Michael Oher in The Blindside. Something not related to the sports/entertainment world. Redford and Hoffman were a bit older than Woodward and Bernstein.

They rescinded his 5-second penalty after reviewing it. So he bumped back up to 4th.

I hope that kick to the family jewels is why Ausar wasn't in there at the end. That would be better than another coaching blunder of not having your best defensive player on the court against a possible league MVP.

People will dog Ferrari for the bad strategy. But they were not winning that race without trying something. Going the opposite way from the field on tires was the right call IMO.

One complaint. Everyone saw that Cade ejection coming. JB needs to get out on the court and get between him and the ref. Yeah you will get tossed but better you than Cade.

Bucks up by about 20 on Indiana in the 4th. So they will be up 2 games on Detroit. Indiana will be up 1. We play Milwaukee the last two games of the season.

That Pistons pick was used by LAC to draft Miles Bridges. SGA was drafted by Charlotte and traded to LAC on draft night. Bridges was part of the package that went to Charlotte.
