  1. Porzingis might need a cut man.
  2. Not sure why I'm promoting their ****ty site. But ESPN has lowered the vig on all NBA playoff bets to -107. Of course, they limit pretty much anyone who wants to bet a decent amount. So that promotion shouldn't cost them much.
  3. Nice article from Fred Katz about this. Knicks must stop trending away from Karl-Anthony Towns
  4. Looked up their FTr Brunson Reg 37.3% Playoffs 38.9% Cade 25.4% Playoffs 40.5% Two games that stat will still be pretty noisy. But thats a huge jump for Cade. And if he is getting a friendly whistle, he should exploit it and go to the basket even more.
  5. And that is the frustrating thing about Ku. He moves the goalposts. Thibs specifically complained about the FT discrepancy, not fouls. On 160 FGA the Pistons have shot 54 FT's. On 174 FGA's the Knicks have shot 36 FT's. Now these aren't 100% perfect numbers, the FT's include technicals, 3 second violations, etc. But its odd, the Knicks have more shots and quite a few less FTA's. Thibs is doing exactly what I said JB should do with Brunson hooking, bitch about it. Game 3 refs watch and hear things. Maybe it gets in their head to watch for that hook. Maybe the league reviews it and tells them specifically to watch for it. The video in question
  6. Joe just hired Troy Weaver to be a senior VP in New Orleans.
  7. I googled it and it appears they track 29 data points on each players body and collect data 25 times a second. It's probably not perfect. I could see issues with a large number of players in the same area, like the paint. But I imagine it's fairly accurate.
  8. I can't wrap my head around paying a premium for a big market team just to move it to a small market. Just buy New Orleans or Charlotte. Save $2 billion on the sale and face far fewer hurdles in moving the team.
  9. Kind of think those kids he wants nothing to do with might be better off that way.
  10. Tesla now up 4% after hours.
  11. The entire team and coaching staff deserve a ton of credit for last night. If I told you before the game that: Stewart plays 0 minutes Cade has 3 assists Harris, Beasley, and THJ combine to shoot 2-18 from three. With Cade its 3-22. Would you guess the Knicks win by 20 or 30?
  12. Tatum is listed as doubtful for tomorrow's game.
  13. I do love when Rudy corrects him from $200 million to $300 million.
  14. Tesla expected eps was anywhere from 39c-43c. They came in at 12c eps. Could have been much worse. Stock is green after hours but only like 3 tenths of a percent. I think Musk speaks in 30 minutes. Could see some movement then.
  15. Harris was abused on defense in game 1 while completely disappearing on offense in the 2nd half. Not only did KAT score on him, he was a big reason the Knicks ran the layup line on Detroit in the 4th quarters. A little unfair to Harris since he shouldn't have to basically play center on defense. KAT didn't get the ball last night, so we don't know if Harris played good defense on him or not. He absolutely was better at controlling the paint though and deserves a lot of credit for that. But I can't get over the play where Brunson switched onto Harris. Tobias held the ball for a good 5 seconds, then shot a 20-foot fade away jumper. He has 6+ inches and 50 pounds on Brunson and he cant back him down? That was such a KAT move.
  16. Example of how professional gamblers use arbitrage. Before the series started, the Minnesota Timberwolves were +160 to win the series. A $2,500 bet wins you $4,000 for a payout of $6,500 (Original $2,500 + $4,000 winnings). Minnesota won game 1 in LA in a blowout. Now the Lakers are the underdogs at +125. Find another book and put $2,889 on the Lakers. This will pay out $6,500 as well (Original bet + winnings). No matter who wins, we are collecting a payout of $6,500. We risked $5,389. So we collect a guaranteed profit of $1,111 no matter which team wins.
  17. 6 or 7 of the Brunson fouls are probably Thompson 65 feet from the basket.
  18. Duren only guarded KAT for 47 seconds last night. Harris was on him for 10:36 and Paul Reed had him for 1:03
  19. Anonymous NBA player poll 2025: MVP pick? Most overrated? Too many 3s? Some Detroit specific answers: Future face of the league - Cade was 8th with 2.2% of the vote Leagues most underrated player - Cade was 1st with 8.8% of the vote. Aside from your current coach, who is the best coach in the league? - JB was 9th with 2.7% of the vote Who would you least like to fight? - Stewart was 2nd with 13.5% of the vote. James Johnson was 1st of course with 63% of the vote. Do you like the idea of 10 min quarters? - 78% said no Are gambling partnerships good/bad for the league? 46% said bad. 34% said good. 12% in the middle. 8% undecided. Would you be willing to shorten the season if it meant less pay - 85% said no
  20. For all the bitching about the refs, Detroit shot 34 FT's while NYK shot 19.
