So looking at next years cap numbers. Assuming the salary cap projection of $166 million holds up. If Detroit renounces all of their free agents except Duren they will have $15.5 million in cap space. Which means they will basically have no cap space, since the MLE will be between $15 and $16 million. So they will have the MLE + the BAE which will be $5.5 million, maybe six.

Is the league about to drop the hammer on the Clippers and void Leonard's contract? They have been one of the hottest teams in the league the past month or two. Already in the playin scenario with a possibility of being top 6. Their draft pick goes to OKC this year and has no protection on it, so they don't get it no matter what happens. Seems odd to just blow it all up like this.

Pacers currently have the third-worst record, which means they have about a 50% chance to land at 5, 6, or 7. Pacers about to tank so hard to reduce those odds.

He is now arguably the best C in the conference and makes $20 million next year and $21 million in 2027-28. Fantastic trade for Indiana depending on what they gave up
