Reports that Luka will return to the US in a few days and sign his Lakers extension. It will be 4/$229 million. That trade cost him some serious money since his extension with Dallas would have been 5/$345 million. Most are speculating the 4th year will be a player option since 3 years gets him to that 10 year mark.

It really only makes sense if they have a trade worked out that includes Ivey. Even then, Cam Thomas? Really? Are we just forgetting defense is 50% of the game? Also, another guy that can't really stay healthy.

Interesting that Spotrac still lists Beasley as a cap hold for Detroit. I just assumed they would have had to renounce him to make their FA moves, but apparently not. That could be big if he is cleared of his gambling charges. Keeping his cap hold means they also keep his early Bird rights and can offer him around $8 million I think. I don't think anyone else could even come close to that. Maybe Brooklyn if they still have cap space. Detroit doesn't really need another guard so it could be for nothing. Although, it does open up the possibility of a sign and trade if another team wanted him.

Her dad is one of the nicest celebrities I ever met. Fun fact I just read. They no longer run quarter miles. I guess there was an accident years ago where someone couldn't slow down in time. So now they only run 1,000 feet instead of the 1,320 feet a quarter mile would be. This is just for Top Fuel and Funny Car classes.
