The amount of people complaining about Ivey coming off the bench. Shut up. He will not be a sixth man when the regular season starts.

Trying to take anything away from preseason is a bad idea. I have seen guys look god awful who are fine come regular season. And I see guys look great in preseason and cant get off the bench in the regular season.

Iowa had 0 receiving yards from their wideouts today. Only two players caught a pass. Their TE and RB. They still beat Purdue.

The market dictated he is worth peanuts. If you trade him for peanuts it is not giving him away. It is getting fair value. I said previously he helps them on the court. He wins them an extra 2-4 games this year I bet. If those 4 extra wins meant making the playoffs vs not making the playoffs, absolutely keep him. I value playoff time for evaluating players and I think that environment is important for their overall growth. But they are not making the playoffs this year, or even the play in game. So you have Williams screaming at these kids to play defense. Probably at some point he will bench guys for not playing defense. And meanwhile you have Bogey giving up 25 to anyone who can dribble a basketball. You can't build a team culture and instill a defensive mindset in these kids while treating some players differently. Not a bad guy. Not a bad player. It is just a bad situation for him.

He is really difficult to trade with that contract. Most contenders do not have $20M to send out. A lot of them do not have future draft picks because they have mortgaged them to build the team. There is a reason we got him for peanuts last year. If I am looking for some shooting, I go after Burks instead. Equally good shooter, plays above average defense, and is half the price.

Never been to Vegas so I'm not sure where it is. I did read it costs $450,000 a day to run an ad on the sphere. Not an ad, but this cracks me up for some reason.

Another reason Bogey should be moved. He can't play if you believe the new coaches comments. I know what people are going to say. We need his shooting! You are not wrong of course. But on a team full of kids, you need to teach them how to play the right way. Build that identity, the team culture everyone always talks about. That probably has more value than putting a shooter on the floor that doesn't defend. It might make this season more painful than it needs to be. But it will pay dividends 3-5 years down the road.
