So difficult. Been there.

My heart is breaking. Had to say goodbye to Sam today. A quick, sudden health issue that couldn’t be resolved. He was 18. I adopted him 11 years ago, and he was my dog Lucy’s partner in crime. for now, I’ll be pet less for a couple months to give my heart time to heal. Then I’ll be looking for another one or two companions for me at the shelter. Goodbye, Sammy-Sammy/Buddy-buddy. 💔

And if they’re smiling and applauding him in that room, shame on them too.
