  1. … and he’ll push for legislation that does away with presidential term limits
  2. Don’t really care about the Reagan reference, I just think it’s alarming that the # of medical graduates aren’t on a par with the population growth. That seems bad… don’t w think?
  3. This is pretty maddening: Most shocking to me, we have an artificial physician shortage due to a federal advisory committee who issued a report, which claimed we were "barreling toward a massive physician surplus", to a Reagan administration only too eager to cut back on federal spending on doctor-training systems. Therefore, from 1980 to around 2004, the number of medical graduates flatlined, even as the American population rose 29 percent.
  4. See ya. 👋🏻 You don’t add to our community.
  5. You need to stop using our threads for your constant dump of crap stories and your ridiculous large font and today - large red font. Today could be the day you push the wrong button. Then, I honestly don’t give a **** to whom you cry/complain to. If the powers that be want to pick you over me, I can live with that too. So, go ahead, try me.
  6. If only I could provide you with a cogent explanation of his presence here, and if only I could defend the posts in question as to the value of their content, or his responses to other’s posts that aren’t encores of memes….. have been hoping that the discourse would elevate to actual discussions of two sides of arguments….. using, you know, original thoughts & words. ** shrug ** Hope springs eternal.
  7. The jury’s out on this one…. 😁 If the aggravation factor gets to you, remember that you have an “ignore” feature that comes in handy.
  8. My favorite all-time Yankee player was Thurman Munson, who died on this day (August 2nd) in 1979. I remember where I was when I heard the news… and how devastated I felt. I loved his fierce personality. I just loved him, period.
  9. Can we set up a “go fund me” account to send someone on a vacation??? We need a freaking break 😂
  10. And, now I’m not sure if I’m confusing “Trump employee 3” with “Trump employee 4” 😵‍💫😂🤪
  11. I heard reports that the lawyer that walked in with him is a known Trump-affiliated lawyer who has previously been turned away for another client, again, because he has no standing in FL. So, not a coincidence. I think the Trump team just needed/wanted more time to talk to this guy to make sure he doesn’t flip, even though we all know he’ll go to jail if he doesn’t.
  12. Judge is back. Tonight he’s had a HR, and I think a couple singles. Though you can tell he’s running a little gingerly, his swing looks good.
  13. Of course. 🤬
  14. This is one of the worst decisions that a board of “education” could ever make. Just reading this sickens me.
  15. the dailybeast.com (can’t seem to link the story. Sorry.. if someone else can , I’d appreciate it)
  16. I think it will be today. (But I’m waiting for one of my sisters…. We’re seeing Barbie today. 😂)
  17. Crane was 45 stories up. Carrying 16 tons of concrete. insanity
  18. Binged through seasons 1&2 ofJustified, and flying through season 3….. because of the recommendation here for this show, and especially season 6! (Didn’t want to just try to watch season 6… wanted the full feeling of the characters) Thanks for the heads up.. I’m very much enjoying this show 👍
  19. Am I the only one hoping for a pigsnuggler meme about now? 😂
  20. Yeah. I try to be “in charge” of the bill when I’m out with friends, because some of them are (imo) under-tippers, and I’m admittedly an over-tipper because I’ve had quite a number of people in my family who at some point in their lives were waitstaff or bartenders. If the friends ask what the amount is before tip, and they think I’ve added too much for the tip, I back down, and then I just throw in more (without them noticing). I know that sometimes, the less than stellar service might have as its cause nothing to do with them in particular, but a backup in the kitchen,,etc. Also… we’ve all had days where maybe we’re not at our best. The caveat here is, of course, encountering outright rudeness… um, yeah, not going to reward that with a big tip, but also, I’d let a manager or owner know what was encountered. Personally, it’s never happened to me, gratefully. Also, chaz, I agree on (when possible) the tip in cash.
  21. I thought the exact same thing, but was too lazy to respond… so, Thanks! 😁
