So… I guess we’re “over” yesterday’s atrocity, and now we just wait for tomorrow’s mass shooting so that we may again offer our thoughts and prayers? Jeez. Didn’t even take 24 hours.

I really can’t take this plethora of shootings. But again… children just being school… good God… this is so mind blowing. It will never end until good people with guns convince their kin that maybe more controls WON’T render them victims.

Every time I think this “man” can’t be slimier, he exceeds my expectations. Let me just say that I haven’t been this despondent over current news, or more pessimistic about my country’s future in a long time… or perhaps, ever. Heartbreaking. I want to add infuriating, but honestly, extreme sadness is what I’m feeling at the moment. That emotion is pretty much taken over the forefront in my being.

I went to a block party two weekends ago that was of course outside. Went for a few hours. By mid week my next-door neighbor the neighbor across the street and a third had all been feeling sick and tested positive for Covid. I’m pretty sure they were a couple more people we just haven’t heard about. I can’t believe I have not tested positive. I’ve been feeling fine. But today I go for my Covid test for my pre-surgery which happens on this Friday. I will totally freak out if they take the Covid test today and tell me I have it. That would mean postponing the surgery. This virus is just too much, too too much.
