  1. Did you see his stab on a line drive that was going over his head. Three out and Tigers STILL lead 1-0 Bottom of the third.
  2. Rest In Peace Jim!
  3. I just tuned in after my granddaughters soccer game. Now I'm going to tune it out.
  4. I'm disappointed that I have to watch Baez and Haase swing and miss today.
  5. Hopefully Tork will peak again on 8/26. I'm taking my 7 year old grandson to his first Tigers game. I bought him a Torkelson jersey to wear with pride. Hopefully Tork will really turn it on that day. Heck, I'm starting to write like CMoe talks😂
  6. Today's line up is the line up I'd like to see on a game to game basis
  7. Badoo makes it 4-1 with a solo home run.
  8. At least he made contact😡
  9. Vierling with. his second double of the day.
  10. Rogers with a solo hr. Tigers lead 6-2.
  11. I can't help but wonder if Torkelson has a vision problem. He doesn't look like he's seeing the ball very well.
  12. Short with an RBI double, Five-2 Tigers!
  13. Tigers are playing some solid baseball today, so far at least.
  14. This is looking like a replay of last nights game.😠
  15. Got the lead back thanks to Carpenter.
  16. Thanks for the advice. I remember that the area around Tigers Stadium was pretty run down and that didn't scare me. I never had a seven year old with me before so I will have my head on a swivel.
  17. Thank you for the suggestions, I will look into all of them.
  18. Looking into the future, I have purchased tickets for game two of the Houston/Detroit series on August 26th. My youngest son, son in law and my seven year old grandson and I will be making our first trip to Comerica Park. I haven't been to Detroit since the last game I went to at Tigers Stadium. I would imagine that Detroit has changed a lot since then. Since we have an eight hour drive to get there, lodging will be important to secure for two nights. I'm hoping that one of you fellow Tigers fans can recommend a place to stay close to the stadium. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
  19. The Upper Peninsula has historically fielded a number of hardball teams every year for decades. Guys in their twenties, thirties and a few in their forties would form travel teams and play out their baseball fantasies in front of avid fans. Back when I was in my forties or fifties, Felch (near Iron Mountain) had a great team. They had a Sunday game scheduled and word was that former Tigers John Hiller, who played regularly for Felch, had invited Fydrich to pitch for Felch. My cousin and I, not really expecting that to be true, took a ride down there to catch the game. I don't recall the score but Felch won and that's the only time I saw "The Bird" live. It wasn't long after his major league career was over and his "stuff" was still pretty good.
  20. The headline says the game is at 1:10 but it's actually scheduled for 6:20 EST.
