I hate it when the Tigers have to play at Tropicana Field. At least Detroit won this series. Now, they have to focus on beating Kansas City.

I wonder if Parker Meadows is thinking about his brother Austin's mental health issues? It's just a thought. Austin Meadows mental health issues didn't surface until he was traded to Detroit. The Tigers should send Parker to AAA so he can hit the reset button at the plate.

Tigers defense was a little shaky when Kenta Maeda was in the game, however he definitely looked more relaxed on the mound tonight.

I was too young and didn't see the Tigers win the World Series in 1968. I knew Dwight Lowry and Bill Fahey. I was a batboy for the Lakeland Tigers from 1981-1985. Dwight Lowry was our starting catcher in 1982 and Bill Fahey was our field manager in 1984. Dwight and Bill, two very good guys. Easy to get along with.

Would it be possible to acquire a cather 19 games into the 2024 season? Jake Rogers and Carson Kelly are automatic outs these days. I liked the hiring of Scott Harris, but my patience with his decision making is being tested.

Should AJ move Kenta Mazda to the bullpen for a few weeks? Moving him to the bullpen is an expensive move. Paying a pitcher 12 million to pitch in low leverage situations may also appear to be a panic move.

The Al Avila administration wasted a first round draft pick on Spencer Torkelson. The Scott Harris administration knows this. The only reason Torkelson is on this roster is because he was the first player selected. Parker Meadows should also be sent down to AAA.

Would Buddy Kennedy be a better option than Zach Mckinstry?

Torkelson reminds me of Bob Horner. Both guys were drafted out of Arizona State. Horner knew how to frustrate Braves fans and Torkelson is currently frustrating Tigers fans. Horner would often have 3 or 4 doubles in a game and proceed to have 5 strikeouts the next night. Torkelson does basically the same thing. It's only a matter of time before Torkelson begins to gain weight and end up playing in Japan.

I hope Eric can rebuild his baseball career. I know Eric has a family, however he should consider playing in Japan or Korea for a few years. Playing in Japan would help him improve his hitting and defense. Japanese players are much better at fundamental baseball skills. Foreign players can make pretty good money in Japan. In the early 80’s Warren Cromartie left the Montreal Expos for the Tokyo Giants. Warren Cromartie excelled in Japan and enjoyed the best seven years of his pro baseball career.

Any interest in Christian Walker from the Diamondbacks? If the Orioles want Michael Lorenzen or Eduardo Rodriguez, Scott Harris should demand Grayson Rodriguez in return.

Joey Bart is a first round bust. The Tigers already have enough first round bust in the organization: Torkelson, Faedo, and Manning. I don’t care about Manning’s participation in a combined no-hitter. Spencer Turnbull was a second round pick and he hasn’t been able to recover from a stiff neck. Steve Carlton and Orel Hershiser would laught at the soft and weak attitude of Detroit’s pitching staff.

Scott Harris should definitely consider filing A.J. Hinch. This team has tuned him out.

Trea Turner is now in Philadelphia. Xander Bogaerts is in San Diego and Dansby Swanson is wearing a Cubs uniform. Who needs a shortstop? I wouldn’t mind having Gio Urshela in a Tigers uniform. LAA is one of the few teams that could probably take Javier Báez contract off Detroit’s hands.

I believe former GM Al Avila and the previous scouting staff made horrible draft decisions on: Casey Mize, Matt Manning, and Alex Faedo. The 2023 Detroit Tigers will be lucky if they win 40 games. AJ Hinch better count his blessings. He’s luck to have current Tigers GM(Scott Harris) as a friend. Also, I believe no other field manager like Joe Maddon or Joe Girardi would want to manage the Detroit Tigers and this AA roster committing fraud as a MLB team.

Can we get JV and Xander Bogaerts to sign multi year contracts in Detroit? JV might be willing to give the Tigers the home team discount. Tre Turner, Carlos Correa and Dansby Swanson, I believe, will be out of the Tigers price range. Bringing Bogaerts to Detroit would move Javy Baez to 2base and I would be okay with that.
