Nope, but if you are excited about a team that gets shutout anytime they face an average or better pitcher...to quote you "so be it" and "but whatever."

Why? Do you care that much about the ****ty product they put on the field? I would love them to get embarrassed repeatedly so there will be some sort of change...i.e. new manager, better players, etc.

Growing up in the 90s, I had absolutely zero interest in following the Tigers and I played baseball constantly. The team was typically the worst or at the bottom of the league every year. Why would I want to waste my time watching a garbage product?

That's why I said the pitchers control, velocity, and movement has a huge effect. And the pitcher does have a lot of control over what type of contact is made on his pitches. Sometimes weak hit balls find an open spot, but if you throw it right down the middle with zero movement, you end up like Phil Coke.

Hits to a certain extent, but a pitchers control, velocity, and movement play a huge part in giving up hits.
