Not at all. I am just not A Know It All.
Hater? I don't recall saying since a 23 year old making his mlb debut didn't dominate the opponents that he will never get another chance ever in the majors.
If you are 23, can hit 96, 97 mph and have decent offspeed stuff, you are going to pitch in the majors somewhere.
From my one game watching him, he seems to have at least similar stuff of not better than Casey Mize
You're right. Every pitcher who eas ever decent in the history of baseball has been lights out on their major league debut. Thanks for letting us know how dumb we are.
I know he has Parkinsons. And that affects his announcing.
You enjoy listening to him? He has a job that requires him to speak and at least sound like he cares about the game. He can't do the job. I guess by your argument, the Tigers should only let players go when they want to retire. I know he can't hit but this might be the only thing he looks forward to...keep him on the roster.
Gibson's announcing makes baseball about as exciting as Joe Buck's announcing makes football exciting.
Gibson has no energy, no inflection in his voice. My god he is awful.
One guy is flourishing? That is more an indictment of the system than anything.
Natural talent shouldn't be restricted by some silly edict from a coaching staff.
In Houston , Hinch had a roster full of studs and also had a cheating affair going on.
Hinch overmanages and suffers from the smartest guy in the room syndrome. Like him or not, ilitch isn't eating his salary. And how much does a manager really affect wins and losses? I think a guy can lose games for you but not really do a lot to win them.
Mike ilitch owned the tiger for about 15 years before he tried to field a winner and they probably had the least amount of wins in that time period among mlb teams. I was in high school and college during that period and had zero interest in following them. Why would I waste time on such a terrible product. I catch parts of games but that's about it. I am about ready to care even less now.
Chris is no different than his dad at the beginning of his tenure except he is super cheap. I expect to hear the organization banging the drum that they need a new stadium soon and us tax payers will need to pay for it.
I expect Flaherty to be traded before the all star break. And Skubal will be shopped too.
And they aren't going to fire Hinch or Harris. Ilitch isn't going to be on the hook for multiple salaries at the same time.
I don't agree with that. Mize still seems like a rookie and pitches like one. Mize just doesn't have the stuff to be an above average pitcher. He doesn't have a swing and miss pitch. He seems like a younger but poorer version of Kent Maeda.
I didn't have anyone in particular but Mize seemed very underwhelming. Average fastball.
The only reason I didn't feel tork was a good pick because he played 1b. You can find decent 1st basemen anywhere. So to me, he would have needed to be top 3 in the league foe that to be a good pick.
I mea , they could still turn out to be average mlb players which isn't horrible, but they really needed to hit on the tork pick
