I could post this tomorrow but why wait? Lakeland lost but Rainer had quite the game and what I love about him being in the FSL we get statcast data.

Agreed! Lower minors being strong while the parent club being strong as well is a good sign. The injuries they have had from an OF perspective has also weakened Toledo. In the near future you will probably see Malloy, Perez and Jung or Sweeney in the Toledo lineup once Meadows, Perez, Vierling are back in the mix.

I will say there isn't a whole lot to be excited about between Erie and Toledo. In Erie you have Melton, Hamm, Liranzo maybe Anderson. Miller is an interesting pitching prospect and will be interesting to see if he makes it as a RP or SP. I could see him going the Beau Brieske route. Campos is young, but until I see him lift the ball more, I just don't have a ton of confidence in him. Toledo, you have Hao-Yu Lee, Manning, Montero, and some interesting RPs, but that's about it. The real fun is WM and Lakeland. I am very interested in some of the high school pitchers they have drafted and how they are going forward. Rucker, Rainer, Franyerber in Lakeland will be reasons to watch for sure.

2025 Detroit Tigers General Discussion Thread

Detroit Tigers Total points: 11 2024 rank: 14th⬆️, 4 points, zero first-place votes President of baseball operations: Scott Harris The Tigers’ players defied the front office’s expectations last summer with an unlikely sprint to the playoffs. But starter Jack Flaherty – traded away last July – returned in free agency, a sign that Detroit is becoming an inviting destination for players. “They’ve really made strides under Scott Harris,” said one president of baseball operations. “They’ve made smart moves and been aggressive when opportunities exist, and they haven’t tied themselves down with long-term contracts.” -

😅 I am chasing around an 18-month-old now, but honestly, the beginning of April is just a busy time at work. I usually do updates at the beginning of my workday, but overseas calls are getting in the way. I should be back with your tiger cub updates here shortly.

Wonder if he is going to get the Brant Hurter treatment. It was one outing but these numbers are nice. Owen Hall last year's 2nd round pick, had a first professional game to forget. 0.1IP 3H 3ER 2BB Melton with a good showing of 4IP 1H 2BB 5K glad to see him showing well in Erie as he had some injury concerns at the end of last year.

He would not be cheap, but he does have an 18M per year contract for the next 2 years. He was worth 3.5 WAR last year. My best guess? Maybe one of Hamm, Hao-Yu Lee, Melton, or Madden and Max Anderson, Campos or Rucker. They want/need pitching so my guess would be something like a Madden and Campos trade if they wanted an arm closer to the Bigs?
