  1. The Athletic updated their top 50 prospects: Max Clark - 8 Jobe - 14

  3. https://www.mlb.com/news/watch-minor-league-baseball-games-for-free?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage Lakeland is the free MiLB game of the day if you want to watch Clark and McGonigal
  4. If Canha goes on the IL, I would hope Malloy comes up but I'm guessing we'll get Vilade again.
  5. I think they are starting either this weekend or next week if I remember correctly.
  6. I am sure you are right, someone will get cute with signing under-slot and floating someone to a later round. Miss when the draft was early June vs July so you could watch some of the college players who had been drafted in the CWS etc.
  7. If we are talking FSU guys I wouldn't be surprised to see James Tibbs getting some thought here. He has more home runs than strikeouts this year and has had some helium lately so he fits the expected mold but he is limited to LF or possibly 1B so that is a drawback for a "complete player".
  8. So from my understanding, it isn't Harris really who makes all of those decisions, I am sure he has final say/is consulted but I am guessing he relies on his scouts and mainly his Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Conner to make those decisions and I know Rob Meltzer was pretty influential in the past but he has been promoted so not sure there. That being said Conner comes from San Diego and they have never been shy about selecting prep pitchers so I wouldn't be super shocked by it but we know they can mold pitchers pretty well and bring them up so generally I would prefer a bat of some sort but that's just my preference.
  9. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2024-mlb-mock-draft-3-0-updated-first-round-ahead-of-ncaa-tournament/ BA has us taking Yesavage in their latest mock. 11. Tigers — Trey Yesavage, RHP, ECU Injury was about the only thing that could slow Yesavage down this season. He dealt with a punctured lung that kept him off the mound in the ACC tournament and caused a bit of a scare, though it sounds like he should be able to pitch in this weekend’s Greenville regional, where a matchup with Chase Burns is possible. Yesavage has pitched his way into the consensus No. 3 pitcher slot in this class. I’ve yet to hear anyone say that this injury has removed that status. This is about the range where high school pitchers could seem like real options. Pipeline has us taking Caminiti https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-pipeline-2024-mock-draft-may-30?t=mlb-draft-coverage 11. Tigers: Cam Caminiti, LHP, Saguaro HS, Ariz. (No. 17) As of right now, this seems to be the ceiling for the young lefty in Arizona who got the most votes in our executive survey as the best prep pitcher in the class.
  10. Well it is the end of May so let's check in once more, this is just for May: AAA Jung .238/.355/436 104 WRC+ Malloy .281/.426/.458 136 WRC+ Bigbie .270/.393/.365 108 WRC+ Dingler .361/.388/.623 152 WRC+ AA Lee .258/.342/.485 132 WRC+ ( I always forget that he is only 21 so this is pretty impressive just unfortunate he has one position 2B ) Workman .232/.316/.394 102 WRC+ High A Gold .233/.324/.478 120 WRC+ Anderson .245/.273/.396 85 WRC+ Campos .313/.356/.613 161 WRC+ (32% K rate though 😬) Graham .200/.360/.257 91 WRC+ Low A Clark .284/.394/.386 131 WRC+ McGonigle .325/.414/.494 158 WRC+ Briceno .382/.462/.471 172 WRC+ (SSS due to injury) Campbell .198/.307/.267 74 WRC+

  12. General consensus was either Dalton Rushing or Cartaya plus Eddys Leonard but we probably would have probably thrown in Jake Rogers as his name was thrown around and Donny Sands was in Pittsburgh ready to be "called up".
  13. Come for the sound of the bat and stay for the random guy yelling Kevinnnnnnn. Also this is from a couple days ago.
  14. I prefer Griffin here and it seems Lomavita does not fit the control-the-zone narrative so I would be surprised with him as the pick. https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/40233926/2024-mlb-mock-draft-kiley-mcdaniel-first-pick-projection-guardians 11. Detroit Tigers Caleb Lomavita, C, Cal Lomavita has a lot of late helium into this area and probably goes somewhere between Nos. 8-17. He has plus tools, but his weakness is his chase rate, something that teams have had some success improving in pro ball. Cam Caminiti is a real factor here, as is Trey Yesavage (who recently suffered a partially collapsed lung that teams are still learning about). I also can't rule out Griffin, as Detroit isn't scared to take a prep player early. Detroit figures to have a number of solid options and could go with any of the four major player categories.
  15. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-s-top-200-draft-prospects-for-2024?t=mlb-draft-coverage This caught my eye when reading through this. Clearly not considered a great draft class this year. How would you grade out this Draft class on a 20-to-80 scouting scale? Average: 44.6 (25 votes total) 40: 11 50: 7 45: 4 30: 1 55: 1 60: 1

  18. Bored at work? Wanna watch some guys who won't play in the bigs for a minimum of 4+ years? Well you are in luck. The FCL Phillies and FCL Tigers game streaming here with no sound and only a pitcher angle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qc6twbrRtcg
  19. Since we are close to 33% done with the season and the Tigers are pretty much .500 with a 0 run differential, I am looking to see some hot takes around performance or team records etc. Tork finishes leading the team with HR with 31 Flaherty is traded and people are generally impressed with the return Colt Keith finishes with a .280 average with 15 HR but does not win RoY Montero makes more MLB starts than Manning by the end of the season
