If winning matter so much in the Detroit how do you explain the Lions selling out? one of the worst franchises in all pro sports and they still have Adults dressing up like fools every sunday home game
so when every one says they need to send player x to toledo for playing time rather sitting on the bench in detroit is wrong? you dont think some players need to play everyday to get in a groove?
If you read the new Astros book it makes you wonder how much Hinch benefited from the data guys in the Astros front office and from Alex Cora and his shady stuff
you got wonder how much Hinchs multiple lineups and platooning might effect players getting consistent AB and getting into a groove especially with younger guys
you can pooh pooh the free agents all you want but it also sends a sign to the team and fans that your actually trying to win... you guys probably thought over paying for Pudge was a horrible idea in 2004
you can do both at the same time .... no one has ever said do all free agents but to think you can come up with 26 players from your farm system and be competive is crazy.... you guys act like your some how so virtuous because you dont want free agents
I dont have to like it but its reality..... so if we dont sign any one then we develop players and unless im missing someone the great players in our system are on Tigers now. While probably decent players neither one of them looks like a Julio Rodriguez or Bobby Witt Jr.. Im not saying building a team from free agents but you can add a player here and there to help.
